The only problem with this is that most pure magic characters, upon switching to another class, will wind up with strength and magic that's just "meh" at best, without being able to excel in either area. Mages do suck in Fates, but at the very least characters like Nyx and Orochi can be used to nuke a single low-Res target. Reclassing Nyx to say, an Outlaw and giving her a shining bow will improve her other stats a tad, but I would guess that in most cases it would lower her kill potential severely.

It would probably work on characters who actually have a natural strength growth or base to speak of like Leo, Hayato, or some of the magically-inclined kids.

Hisame is alright for a child character given that he gets coinflip strength as a Memedon(so that 20 levels spent as one isn't terrible for him) and he has a nice alternate class in Oni.

I would have honestly preferred if they went all the way with making Hisame the funny pickle man. It really feels like they half-assed giving a ridiculously boring character a wacky gimmick like Gregor, and failed completely at making him endearing anyway.

Characters like Hinata, Oboro, and Kagero are decently well-liked despite not having massive gimmicks, but Hisame is just so unrepentantly boring.
