What free things? NA's been actively getting people to do tournaments since Seeker started it up for the big March tournament, which is as close you can get to free gold handouts if you're any good at all. There are no secret gold or premium time codes given out every month, and NOFUN was briefly quite alive during the campaign for the free reward tank which is as close as EU gets to free things; and they even heavily spearheaded complaints on EU forms to get it made into a real premium. So I have no idea what more you think is out there.

Best tanks for MT-15 and TD-15 missions for T-55A? I've got a T110E4 and obj 268, which although not the best TDs, they should be enough I guess (I also have grille 15 unlocked, but nowhere near enough credits to buy it...). Really torn on the med mission tho, got a few tier 9 meds, but getting at least 2 tier 10 TDs AND killing them with the amount of high alpha powerhouses around makes it real hard. Not much improvement trying to use tier 8 meds to kill tier 9 TDs as well

To be fair, the current endgame meta is all about grabbing two of your friends, everybody picking the most fotm tank they have, and spamming gold. If you can't get above green stats normally, just do that at tier 9 for purple+ stats.

I almost exclusively grind credits at this point and play dailies for the extra xp but I agree with you.
There's a point where grinding stops making sense.
The other things I'm doing is farming gold in tourneys to get an IS-6, playing the weekly missions and trying to get T-55A too. But screw the tree progression.

Khalron signs up for a tournament and plays in that tournament. Yes, he's not as good as a lot of the others and can be a liability because of unexpected ping spikes, but he is twice as good as greg. The point is the grind is way worse. Crew XP is split inbetween tanks and planes, so you have to decide which one its better to use it on. Then, for fighters, dump it all into G-Tolerance and vitality, then whatever you want. That still takes a while. For bombers, You gotta dump it into the gunner's vitality and aiming shit, but if you don't have enough experienced gunners their aim takes a hit. This is horrible, because an experienced gunner is one of the more expensive things you can buy. Its even worse on bombers with more than 4 gunners, as eventually it gets astoundingly high. Now for tanks, you have 3-5 crew members usually. You have to get vitality for each one. Thats expensive. this is while giving that crew whatever it needs for planes. See how its shitty?

I also forgot to mention that for tanks at most you will pay 120k for crew retraining. In WT you can pay upwards of 1 million if i remember correctly for a top tier jet/tank. I certainly know its over 500k
