You can recruit 15-30 a week and it takes wuite a while for them to level up. Also I made them very expensive. They are pretty fucking OP though.

I plan to make Oni even more OP but also VERY high level so getting a "Ancient Red Oni" still haven't sorted out the naming scheme would take a while. No so much crazy-high proficiency like most mods I feel I'm already pushing the bounds with the best units have 300 but just maxxed Iron Flesh, Power Strike and very high strength.

Not sure what I'm going to do with the Yokai undead as I can't change the script that effects the recruitment amount without the source code. I guess I will just keep them comparable to normal troops but top tier comparable or weaker than hatamoto.

Kappa will probably be the same as Yokai but there armor shells will be above average.

That is the great part. This content can only be seen if the player seeks it out. The Historically Accurateâ„¢ characters are pretenders, the nanban and phantasy troops can only be recruited from neutral forts. The nanban gear is only sold on Kyushu.


Besides the nanban gear you could play the mod nd never even see the stuff I'm adding in. Everyone is happy. History fags are happy, weeb fags are happy, fantasy fags are happy & Followers of the True Faith seeking to spread the Good Word to slanteyed heathens are happy.

So I'm playing with the sarranids, spreading the glory of allah troughout calradia. We're at war on three fronts (khergits, rhodoks and nords). We're about done wiping out the khergits, the nords are getting slaugthered on the open desert and my man Bilya is holdng the rhodoks off at weyya castle.
Meanwhile, in the rest of the world is busines as usual; the vaegirs took advantage of us taking care of the steppeniggers and ragnar deciding he wanted to take all of his vassals across calradia to get themselves some hot sarranian puss and took wercheg, sargoth and thir, as well as every fucking castle except for Chalbek and Hrus.
The swadians are getting pounded in the ass by the vaegirs, who took dhirim, and the rhodoks, which explains why they aren't sacking durquba by now.
After we were done with the khergits we turned to the rhodoks and besieged veluca after taking jamiche and almerra, and promptly got our asses handed to us.
Thing is, the swadians are making a comeback and already took veluca and yalen.
Looks like late game is going to be a threeway between swadia, vaegirs and sarranids.

What is better? To release lords after I capture them or inprison every single one and never accept peace offers (they would get released if I did) until I conquered everything while all nobles are in prison? As is. You could download diplomacy and play with that as it just adds some extra features to native (native is what the base game is called) as oposed to massive overhauls which most mods are. Though that adds extra complexity so im not sure if its a good idea for a total newbie or not.

Is there any tricks to sieges when attacking? I found some nice ways to defend a castly or city but I feel like there´s not much I can do when attacking. It´s a complete clusterfuck where you can go only one way and that´s it. I need to take town with 300 garrisoned khergits but can´t think of anything that could work. I have 110 soldiers, mostly elites+ two vassals that have 70 soldiers combined

It was the patch that solidified the AR meta that has plagued the game since.

It used to be that all weapon types were equal but used in different situations, but when they changed the head hitbox size and recoil patterns ars became viable at all ranges and weapon diversity vanished.

Hard to say, +3 years is quite long, even for me.
Most of my normal saves last less than a year, unless it's a mod I really like (like Geko), where I have had saves that last well over a year.

I think it comes down to three things:

First of all, there's so much to do in Warwolf. I can be colonizing America, but then suddenly need to haul ass back to Europe because some some English fucks want to bully my precious Netherlands. In normal Warband, as much as I love it, I find myself often doing the same things over and over. I play early game a certain way, mid game a certain way, and end game a certain way. Warwolf doesn't just have more stuff, but a lot of that stuff is viable at the same time. More options.

Then there's the fact that playing Warwolf, especially for the first few hounded days, was a journey of discovery. It's fun to figure out new and arcane mechanics.

But most importantly, it's probably because I posted a ton of this character here, which kept me invested in him and his exploits. Making up a narrative and a character might not be something everyone's into, but for me it always makes me much more invested.

Plus this was done over a long time. Mountainblade is just one of those games I always come back to sooner or later.

It depends on how it's handled.
Elder Scrolls has some titles, I'd argue particularly Daggerfall and Morrowind, which are well written despite not being the most linear of games. They're even well written if you ignore the main story.

It has to do with the way story is represented. If the majority of lore was in in-game books, in character dialogue, and strewn all over all kinds of quests, you don't need a strong central story to hold up the lore.

Heres what you do, take all your dudes out, like every last one, and just let them have it.

Then once they leave, siege it and take it back from whatever garrison they left. get more dudes if needed. If they try to take it again, just repeat the process, they'll run out of dudes to leave in the castle eventually.

there's really nothing that nords do particularly well compared to rhodoks and vaegirs

I've buffed the top level ones so they aren't so pathetic. They aren't as good as a hatamoto but they are close. They are higher level though so they have higher upkeep.

They are pretty uncommon in the market and cost quite a bit of money. STR requirement of 15 weapon speed of 75. I think I did a passable job of balancing it. No NPCs use it atm but i might give it to Oni.

Well, the wine is really cheap at Dorestad, but it is also possible to 'exploit' native Warband with trading, too. Though I didn't bother with the mystic circle for awhile because I didn't have a ship and didn't want to bother with going to Ireland. I just fought the Old Hero for chainmail to start out with better gear (after purchasing some gear so I didn't die instantly to one of his javelins).

currently troop stacks in the player store troop DNA for each individual instance so that your troop face codes and gear look the same battle to battle, it would be easy to add a maimed flag that carries over when you upgrade the troop as well but just Why

a maimed soldier is as good as useless and I don't see the value of having a maimed troop slow down your party if he loses a leg and just wait to be killed in a battle

it's one of those features that really serves no purpose in being added aside from "rule of cool" and "add more gore," I can't imagine the devs going through so much effort to add a system for persistent maimed troops to the game so yeah maimed troops would either just be removed from your party or regenerate their limbs

My thought is they would remain in your part as dead weight taking up party space. As soon as you get back to a friendly town/village they leave. You could kick them out while you are in the feild but it would lower the morale of your troops seeing how you treated wounded/maimed soldiers.

there's 2 ways to get feminized models, one is by vertex deformation, which is the method that native uses, the other is replacing the model entirely with a new one, which is possible since WFAS

if you rename the mesh of the female armors to have the same name as the male armors except with _female at the end, when using a female character (race 2 to be specific), the game will automatically replace the male model with the female model

the advantage of this second system is that you don't have to have the same base model and materials and textures, you could have a gothic plate armor turn into a plate bikini for example on a female character, which isn't possible in the vertex deformation method

For ninjas I'd add shit from a mod called Kengeki gaiden. Some of them outfits are way to animu but it has cool stuff, such as crouching mechanics, god tier polearm animations and Norio Wakamoto voice for male characters, which sounds way more threatening than the average jap voice.

Take a look also at Halloween Special light and darkness. It has some simple stealth system.

The normal light and darkness mod also hass plenty of interesting stuff such as hp based general quotes, rpg-ish items and quests and combat skills.

I'm not saying adding all that would be good, but perhaps may find something that can enhance the Geko experience. Just for what you've done you're already based as fuck.

Suggest the lords attack heavily fortified castles or real huge forces attacking yours alone.

Get the king to 35~ and he'll usually take your war advice. (I did this to Ragnar making him set of a chain of defensive pacts that left us at war with everyone but the Khergits it was hilarious)

honestly the biggest flaw in mount&blade is how infantry units will bunch up and try to swing and stab through each other without any regard for the possibility of wounding an ally instead of giving space

this flaw becomes really apparent in sieges where the defending side has 40 people crammed in a tight spot and can magically all swing at the guy trying to breach the wall

in reality the crenelations wouldn't support having so many men in such a tight space, much less allow them to fight properly in such a space

this makes sieges way more retarded than they need to be

also the 2h stab will literally clip through an ally in front of you to hit the enemy in front which is some bullshit

as far as im aware bannerlord fixes none of these things

this is why multiplayer is supreme

unfortunately enemy garrisons don't really have much upkeep at all once they're already hired

garrisons are limited economically to hire more than their ideal size but once they are already hired they won't suffer attrition, so garrison sizes won't be reduced by impoverishing the lord or town. the only effect that impoverishing them has is limit their ability to replenish their garrison
