yeah, the weapon balance in PVE is fucked. ARs can keep their shit range but need to do massive damage up close to compensate. HCs are fine just need more ammo.

Pulses are harder to balance, as is they are just shitter scouts that demand more precision.

I've said numerous times Year 1 PvP I enjoyed, and I did get good at it as I began to play it seriously and started to raise my KDR from a 1.1 to a 1.6/7 until they started to fuck with the balance of the game.

I had a lot of time put into crucible in Year 1 as opposed to Year 2.

Of course, the majority of my time played comes from PvE for both years, but I don't even think I have half as many hours played in Y2 PvP as I did in Y1 PvP.

If Destiny made it so that sniper rifles were a 2 shot to kill whether headshot or body shot it would be more balanced. Well it depends really, it would have to scale via impact.

Sure, a sniper with low impact fast fire rate shouldn't be able to two shot you, but a high impact low fire rate sniper should be able to.

And it gives you plenty of time to match their TTK.

This is my main issue with games that have massive health bars and high time to kills;

No matter what, people will always go for the weapon that has the lowest TTK.

What's the point of having 200+ hp if everyone is just going to use the weapon that deals the most damage? It just seems completely ironic that they shit on CoD for being a twitch shooter yet they try to turn this game into one.

Everything has the same TTK in CoD so it works, but in this you will get fucked for using something white a high TTK.

I've never had an issue with a sniper, and being a trick shotter like I was I never thought that the TTKs were bullshit. It's a fair fight.

If you're good at QSing with a sniper then GG, you earned it, but even then if your opponent drop shots you or you miss a shot that's you done, unlike destiny where if you miss a shot you have 150hp left for them to work down on as you give yourself a manicure, line your shot back up and kill them with 20hp to go.

But there's a reason there are people running around with either NLB + Shotgun or Universal Remote + Sniper, because you're dead at long range and dead up close as they're the two guns with the fastest TTKs for both distances.
