Is Kzarka honestly better than Liverto? I'm having a hard time seeing why you need Kzarka over Liverto when you can get 5 atk speed, 5 crit chance with either weapon and they have equal AP.

Why does this game have no sources of information re: combat? The tooltips in the game are all wrong and nothing really the way it should work, so to figure out combos and skills for PvP you have to trial and error it in the arena.

The official forums and Reddit are absolute shit, so how do I go about learning proper Tamer combos? Can upclaw bounce people up from the ground? Is there any reason why the grab fails 50% of the time when it says 100% accuracy? Is surging tide a stun or stiffness? Or something else? Can I extend a stun with it? Why does there seem to be no invulnerability on the dodge unless moving forwards?

Tooltips across almost the entire skill tab are wrong. Crowd control does stack, there are rules governing which CC will link into which CC, so it depends which kind of CC the previous ability is counted as. Base resist is 20% not 30%.

Hey guys, so I've been thinking about picking up Black Desert for the past month or so. It seems to have a lot of things I've been looking in an MMO, but wanted some feed back from you all.

I'm not expecting you all to shill it out for me, but if someone could just post a small tldr for me, I'd appreciate it.

My two biggest concerns is firstly how much time I need to put into the game before I can "enjoy" it. I'm really not at point right now where I can devote endless hours into a game like I used to; maybe 1-2 hours on weekdays, 3-5 hours on weekends.

Well, back when I still leveled Pirates were still 'hard'. As a melee they actually were dangerous and Jack almost one shot my 180DP char at night in the back. So farming there gave me a lot of joy because not only was the content 'challenging' and forced me to stay concentrated, it was also easier to defend grind spots because you could just get people killed by pirates. Hasrah was hardish as well but EXP was garbage so I almost exclusively farmed pirates.

I cant grind unless I am being forced to concentrate which is why I havent really farmed since they nerfed mob HP and basically quit the game ever since.

I am neither a NEET nor do I have autism though (I think). I simply slept 5 hours a day and spent every single hour of my free time grinding. My life skills were all around skilled apart from Alchemy and Gathering. When you sit on VoiP with people and shit talk then grinding isnt even that much of a chore, especially when the mobs actually defend themselves.

I honestly liked that aspect of BDO. The bigger problem was that the group content was delayed so hard. I honestly prefer the solo progression, but the thing is that with the old EXP loss system solo progression wasnt really an option. You were forced to party up to get spots because resources were limited. The games forced group play if you wanted to progress.

Then the world opened up further, less people played in general and dying didnt make you lose EXP anymore. Solo leveling and farming become not only an option, but was more efficient most of the time as well. The only reason to group was gone since Node Wars/Sieges took ages to get released. Has they been in the game since the beginning then the lack of group progression would probably not even have bothered people. Sure as hell wouldnt have bothered me. Them missing however kinda removed the multiplayer aspect from the equation because they were the only bit of multiplayer left after they removed the reason to party to progress.

The game would still have forced you to socialize by being in a guild, but at least you would have had the option to do stuff on your own which I really appreciated.

Focus should have been PVP. But then they delayed Sieges until all the PVPers left, removed exp penalties on death and removed any incentive to even fight people. One of the biggest appeals was the fact that progression could ultimately result in PVP and GvG. This was pretty visible at the beginning when something as simple a PK could result in 60v60 GvGs in front of Trent, just because person A stole person Bs Ogre or invaded his MoS Cave. Then people cried, Daum fucked up half a dozen times and suddenly you were left with what we have now.

Sure, the PvP would never have been entirely skill based. But that also was part of the appeal. A grind heavy game that makes it easy for dedicated players to 1v10 complete slackers and still engage in fair 1v1s against people who have equal gear.

The desert part of valencia literally is useless, we have practically no content for it aside from digging and the new weekly scroll boss.

Also no one wants to go to the east side of Valencia because it's a fucking pain in the ass and has very little benefit.

Then there's the West side which is pretty good to farm for money, but when it comes to levels Sausans are still better until you hit upper 50s.
