is skyrim worth doing an entire modded install for? morrowind is my favorite tes game but i haven't played any of them in a while. i messed with skyrim when it first came out and wasnt happy at all that stats are entirely gone in the place of perks, scaling 'uniques' etc.

but looking at guides like this, it is a good looking game and i like the camping, needs aspects. is it really worth it to dump a whole day or 2 into modding and then play? with oblivion i did it with fcom. following the guide, downloading, setting up took like 3 days, but it was worth it.

Anybody know why Poser Hotkeys is bugging out? I no longer have a favorites poser set for some reason, and if I go into MCM, and then try to check my poser, the list is entirely empty, but I can still cycle through poses and posers with the hotkeys (still no favorites, though). I can still add and remove poses from favorites, but I have no way to access them. I have Halo and Kinoko installed.

So I got myself a GTX 1080 and the first thing I decide to do with it is benchmark Morrowind, naturally.

At first I was benchmarking with just a bone vanilla install as I'd not wanted to go through all the trouble of installing all the mods right away. Luckily, I've found an older install, heavily modded, and with an old version of the Tamriel Rebuilt lands as well!

So at 50 cells out with some pretty modest static settings I'm sitting at 15 fps looking from the tip of TR Map 5 to Red Mountain. Before, doing a similar test from Solstheim (the two locations are geographically close) I was getting above 30 FPS.

The land added by TR has drastically cut my performance, I probably won't be able to get good results at 50 cells out it looks like.

Default night brightness is intentionally fairly bright; I'm not big on the whole "can't see five feet in front of you" idea unless you're deep in the woods, and my night skylighting values should take that into account.

I figured if someone wanted darker nights they'd just install a mod for that. Your contrast values seem okay so I'm gonna assume you have sweetfx proxied correctly.

Here's a shot with default values at night. Of course, visuals can greatly depend on what weather it is. Some are quite bleak.

If it helps any I use scriptdragon to filter through vanilla weathers. Makes getting the right visuals a breeze, good for testing different weather .inis quickly too.

you're actually slightly better off than me (but not by much, I use a 660ti, other than that we're basically the same) what kind of cpu do you have?

my esp list is maxed out, I've been merging mods for a while now. you likely need to just be a little pickier about what you actually mod the game with, maybe you're using textures that are too high, or mods that are simply too script heavey (maybe need to use a lesser enb?), that kind of thing.

I consider us near toasters, I can play a relatively pretty game between 40-60 fps if I choose with an enb, but simply can't produce the graphics that many people can. However, for the most part, unless I get up close to kiss something, the difference isn't noticeable a lot of the time except for enb differences (obviously), which I could fix by using a good enb and just take screen shots, but I prefer to play.

eh, I know texture wise we'll not get the results of other people with our setups, I think what kills my game is mostly script mods, even tho I tried to keep them to a bare minimum.
I'm with about 240 plugins, several of which are merged, and while my game is stablish with about 40-60 fps I still get sometimes heavy script lag and about one CTD every couple hours, but as those rarely corrupt saves or bloat them I just decided to keep with them, especially as i loathe the idea of rearranging my mod list again.

I usually use bleak, but have recently started using vivid weathers and started using the enb with that, it drastically dropped my frames to 30-45'ish, and it's nice and relatively playable, but I think I'm gonna go back to bleak for better fps.

I can't install town overhauls at all, they kill my game, same as mods that add a lot of npc's. But I do insist on playing with ASIS and Genesis, which helps to fill out the game a lot. I also use stuff like Inconsequential NPC's and minor mods like that, I really wish I could use 3DNPC, but it always kills my game, some day I'll probably do a playthru surrounded by that mod and just play as a wandering bard or something like that, just run around and chat with folks.

I like my vampire/werewolf mods and magic mods mostly. If a mod breaks BV, I don't use it at all, which hasn't really happened yet, but it gives me the biggest headache shuffling that mod around so that it works properly. I play to past level 80 quite often, and when the game is stable, I rarely crash. I'm in the middle of rebuilding my mods right now, it's sort of stable, don't really want to play it, but I am anxious for another play thru so I'm probably gonna rap this up soon and just play it as it is for now and go at it again later.

Scripts aren't really an issue for me that I'm noticing, but I tend to keep most of those mods off my game, but some of them I do use, like Frostfall, Wet & Cold (which is apparently quite nasty), Footprints, shit like that. I use a lot of HDT in my game as well.

just use sos dude, look at the character, press N then use the mcm to resize their schlong. also, if you open the mcm before the game starts, you can adjust the sizes there before they're 'handed out'.

Thanks. I'm not that really great at messing with mods. About a year ago I managed to installed SKSE and SAM after like 2 days of struggling, just recently upgraded to WIn10, I thought I reinstalled SKSE and SAM turns out I fucked up and game wouldn't load so I deleted everything my from mods folder to get it fixed.
