I'm looking at the squad_general file right now, and personally I recommend the fn2000 if you want a grenade launcher. the dogs are defaulted at 4-6 dogs per squad, and because psuedodugs are different you can have three of these messes pop up. bloodsucker squads should be at two max so idk why the fuck you are having such a troublesome time with their numbers. only pripyat plaza, that fucking antennae place in zaton, and the northeast corner of jupiter.

Dunno why everyone thinks this game is hard. Got it yesterday and I'm basically unbeatable at this point. Haven't died once in 6 hours, killin bloodsuckers and controllers erryday boi.
It's not even tactical. You don't even have to properly stalk. I can just sprint around high off my head on energy drinks and loaves of bread for dat endless stamina and lolrek everything. TOO EASY. Gotta say tho, it's harder them every other fps I've played as the AI is really good.

It's not my typical loadout, I just dropped most of my stuff at Skadovsk so I can loot the Exos in the CNPP (I think there are 3 exos and a Bulat suit so I might have to make 2 trips)

Like I said I dropped most of my stuff at Skadovsk, I couldn't find any of the weight increasing artifacts so I left what I had (anti rad and stamina regen) there.
I haven't found a Sphere helmet yet, tried reloading Owl a few times but he never sells it. Currently I'm only traveling during the day and sleeping when it starts to get dark.
I was trying to be as light as possible for this since I've been to the NPP before but couldn't grab the Exos and Bulat because of weight limitations (I was carrying 45 kg I think) so I went back to Skadovsk, dropped any unnecessary stuff there and now I'm going back to loot it.

I've used other 9x39 guns (VSK, 9A-91) and didn't really like them.
Weight isn't much of a problem since I'm using an exoskeleton. Most human enemies die in a couple of hits to the chest anyway and firing in 3 round bursts it's somewhat controlable.
Against mutants it's even better.

PRZ2 is a bloated mess of super high res textures that miss the style of the vanilla game by miles, sharpened vanilla textures that quite frankly can look worse (though they got sharper mipmaps, so the picture is less blurry on the distance).

All the new textures have assigned vanilla bumpmaps that don't match for shit.

I actually delete a lot of his textures, because they don't differ a whole lot from the originals or complete mess the color palettes of locations.

I just mentioned the pack because Argus never touched the vegetation, and there are still some improvements to be found in the Absolute pack.

I just got an ssd and installed windows on it
when I transferred my stalker stuff to it, it wouldn't let me run because of a directx error, but i fixed that, and cop and soc run fine
however, when i try to run clear sky it gives the error that it can't find the fsgame file in my working folder

In some mods, namely AA2 and I think also the abortion that goes by as OGSE 0693, you can Solid Snake it, but as I already said you must save while you're still in the underground, and you'll also need a fair bit of luck. Getting spotted after you get the docs is almost nonconsequential though as you can just get on the roof, jump down and leg it to the underground again.

I don't even want to hear that bullshit. I save way more than I needed to. When I was helping Seriy, I kept shooting a stalker wearing bandit clothing, not realizing he was friendly, and kostya would come all the way over from where Bes was to fire a vog from his groza at me.

It took like 10 minutes and a shit ton of hard saving and quicksaving before I realized what I was doing wrong.

I can't "go back" to somewhere I've never been. I do this mission to get free entry to the Bar.
Hence why I'm here now. I can usually save scum it but the 1 hit kills make it nigh impossible to progress.

Here's my inventory, I have like 8 rounds in my AK, all the other armor except the normal stalker suit and one bandit outfit is broken, and I have barely any ammo for anything.

I missed some bodies but that's because some stalkers looted the bodies. I looted what I could.
And I used a fair bit of ammo killing the bandits and soldiers down there, who usually didn't have any ammo on them.
the 32 cartridges are 7.62, which I can use on my AK-104 which I only just noticed.

I killed the controller down there, couldn't even loot his parts because it kept teleporting back to his inventory.
So now I just leave?

So thats outside of the map either the bar or wild territory. If the arrow points to the map changer than its wild Territory. Either way you have to escape the map. It is possible in both maps, despite CoC's attempts to block off the outside map in the bar. It is still possible. I had to turn in a mission to a merc who was way past the map changer in the bar area.

As for LA: it's about as bad as /sg/ makes it to be and according to the devs an improved version of it should come out this summer. That is also the reason why some people recommend not playing memery right now, even those that like it.

If you're playing vanilla, it's because you're not playing with ZRP set in FPS mode. Vanilla STALKER gunplay is retarded, the ammo affects the guns' accuracy(which is good if handled right) in a really exaggerated way (which is awful).

Although the idea of giving real life properties to weapons in the game sounds appealing, there are quite a few problems with it. The main one stems from the fact that the range of engagement doesn't exceed 100 meters (thanks to most maps having large obstructions), which makes long-range weaponry an overkill, and even the shittiest of shots IRL could hit a human-sized target from a carbine at this distance. Depends. Making rifles and carbines common but ammo for them rare? It could be good if done in a sensible way (eg, not having Memery-tier retarded economy). Cutting them off altogether? That's an incredibly fucking shitty way of handling things.

Open the modifier and have a look at FirstPersonShooter.cfg

There you can install a file that makes ammo not factor into the accuracy, so that your aim and the weapon makes the difference (COP gunplay also did this, though weapons in general will still behave different between the two games due to weapon specific settings).

You can also increase the AI accuracy, tweak player accuracy, and if you feel like it, enable scavenger mode so that ammo drops are more scarce..
