Itemswap has always been undetectable outside of flagged items, because there's no way to make the detection system discriminate enough to differentiate an item cheated in and one dropped from a friend or picked up in the world.

Direct inventory editing is detectable because they can detect the actual modification done by the injector.

It was like than in DaS2, too. Inventory editing triggered softbuns while itemswap was completely safe. Just don't itemswap in anything flagged.

What's the most annoying weapon combo/build to ever exist. Not even in terns of being overpowered, I just want to be an annoying prick and drag out fights much longer than they would ever need to until my opponent either succumbs or kills themselves.

What are the chances of a demon/dark souls remaster? The graphics don't age well with it's western style and some mechanics need to be updated. I'm close to completing 2 and have 3 lined up next. I would like to play the first two but they're kinda dated.

I think it's +10, not +20.
The formula I know of would be 120*1.1+10 for the upper level (which ends up as 142) though that might just be for red signs.

Been trying to manually change the resolution of the game

The lowest (600x800?) gives mes 60 and above fps but 720p gives me 30fps like the PS4

Tried putting on the data.xml file 960x540 saving and running the game but it still keeps using the default in-game options

If that host then invades someone else, and you also happen to also have placed a purple sign down again, he can summon you, as a purple into the hosts game himself, i.e. a phantom summoned another purple phantom into the hosts world.

It's super fucking abstract and rare as shit to even happen and only happened on PS4 JP launch for me. Never seen it since. Being Gravelorded in DaS1 is more likely to happen.

When you summon a purple white sign and it does the little magical puff of smoke, that is marking the purple, but not that way.

Being summoned to a host as a purple white and killing the host means you're marked for revenge invasion. If the host you killed uses an invasion orb after they spawn, you are prioritized as their invade target. That's the main way people can be invaded solo.

I feel like if Dark Souls 2 didn't have Soul Memory it would be my favourite souls game. It's by far the game I've invested the most time in and looking back on it, after playing through pve so many times I've come to appreciate and even enjoy it.

But every time I go back to play it and get even remotely excited about doing some PvP I'm hit by the fact that there's no point in making any builds that aren't either ludicrously high stats or max stats because of soul memory. It's a real shame, because the game had a high potential for build variety and really fun PvP if it weren't for Soul Memory removing any reason to have build variety (or builds) in the first place.

Also the Agape ring is shit and didn't really fix the problem.

I'm going to try and swing something like this for Simon Belmont. Probably could be improved a lot. Dagger + Shortsword are for costume accuracy, plus the shortsword has the SS moveset and stance.

Lothric Knight Long Spear, Saint Bident, Pike, Dragonslayer Spear, and Dragonslayer Swordspear are all pretty huge.
I've only done anything significant with the Lothric Knight Long Spear, its damage could be better but getting cheeky pokes in with the range, coupled with Leo Ring, make it quite a lot of fun.

I never PVP in the souls games, so I really like 2 a lot. There's just so much to do in that game. If you do it without a guide like I did and just go exploring, it takes a super long time for a first playthrough. My biggest complaint though is the thing I like the most. There's so much to do and a lot of it is bad. It feels like filler content to pad the game hours. So many unnecessary bosses that are either gimmicky, or way too easy. There are a number of really awesome looking bosses that end up being boring to fight as well. There's also the strange difficulty throughout the game. You go from stupid easy bosses to super frustrating ones. There's something to be said about the whole, just keep throwing things at the player though. In the sea of enemies and bosses, there's plenty of great content in there.

To me, Dark Souls 2 is basically the Dragon Ball series. Tons of content, tons of filler, lots of great memorable moments, lots of great why moments and feels like it never ends.

Buffs aren't that strong, if you're using CMW as a melee build its not worth the investment.

If you're doing a full mage build its not worth the spell slot or building around it, its not worth it to use sorcery in general anyway.

Its alright, but the amount of effort required to really beat people with your average sorcery/hybrid battle mage build is kinda just not worth it.

I also feel like most sorc builds need to be SL 130+ or you're gonna have to run with low hp/endurance to make up for all the stats you need to dump into other things to be useful.

Heavy/Faith doesn't sound too shabby. But I think there's a chance that the Lothric UGS scales better with Dex, meaning that you'll want Sharp/Faith.
