Any advice on how to get to 335 Light? I left the week after Taken King dropped due to a falling out with my group who I played with, but I'm picking it up again. Some advice
Stop caring. Don't give up, but don't worry whether you lose or win. You can't do anything about shit teammates.
Only exit if you see a 4+man premade. I've noticed that if you stay in the lobby, then it jumbles up the players. I've lost one match horribly to some guys, only for them to be on my team and we kick ass.
If you stick in the lobby, then you may find a pattern of win-loss-win-loss. But the most important thing is to not worry about every match.
As for the bounties, just take it slow. People are super aggressive in IB, and if you wait, they'll open themselves up for you to kill them
Or stick with your teammates. You get points for assists. And there's not much a guy can do when he's getting gunned down by two guys.

A good chunk of it, particularly the 'Torn Between Dimensions' bit and the whole Relic have no real explanation other than game mechanics.
The Ogres with the corrupted light are different though, Oryx was gathering them as a sacrifice to Akka only to have them turned against him by the guardians who let the light free to burn Oryx.
It's a bit odd, because technically while inside his throne world everything has to obey the sword logic and the guardians probably should not have been able to do something like that. But then again, the guardians are may have a bit of immunity to stuff like that because they are infused by light and don't obey the laws of reality.

At the end of the story, Oryx dies. When a Hive God dies, he goes back to his throne dimension.
Oryx pulled his throne world into reality, and turned it into a ship. The weird place we fought Crota? Oryx has one too, and it's the entire Dreadnaught.
So in the throne world, Hive can be whatever they want. Like a dream. He is giant here.
We arrive, to kill him. Right after having killed his daughters. He has the upper hand, and summons his ogres to kill us.
The way Hive work, every thrall feeds. Then give a little bit to the acolyte above. Acolyte feeds, then gives to the wizard or knight above. Into the sons and daughters, and then into the gods. This was Oryx's light, held in he ogres, that he planned to give to his worm God.
So these ogres die, and the light they are transforming is dropped. He sends a knight to reclaim the lost light.
Meanwhile, one of us is torn between dimensions, that's part of being taken. He's taking us. We're able to use the sword logic to pull a relic out of the air. The relic can be used to take the invincibility Shields that Oryx's pawns boast in his throne world. We use the sword logic against him.
We then channel the light into our guardians bodies, and reclaim it. Bow it is our weapon again. It damages him because he is dark. Devouring light is good, but having it shot St you by a guardian is bad. Like channeling a chargers electricity to shoot lightning at a phone. Phone needs electricity, but a lightning bolt will damage it. Same with Oryx's light.
The bombs are just an attack.
The other thing he does is a Taken thing. We get Taken to a different realm, and then we escape by killing the master there (an echo)
Finally, we deal a blow to him in his own throne world, killing him for a while.

This was the first match I abandoned this IB. I'm too tired to get angry anymore. But fuck the people who play this game and who always seem to get put in my team.
Earlier one of the retards I had the misfortune to call my partners couldn't help but stick to my ass. I'm not kidding, they weren't just by chance pursuing the same strategy as I did, they outright followed me. They blocked my escape routes. They shoved me into sniper lanes. And just as I was about to throw a grenade one bumped into me, the grenade attached to the corner, killing me. And all that was just the last hour of gameplay.
I'm just so tired of everything destiny. I can't go on.

You can get boss specific loot on any difficulty, but the drop rate on normal is terribly low. On heroic it's higher, notably so, but when the strike is a nightfall the drop rates are really through the roof.
That being said, it's all RNG in the end so even with increased chances you can still get fucked.

If you have any low light characters, don't be intimidated. It's not as bad as you might imagine, I think they nerfed the damage curve or something. I often led my team of 335 people, but they were probably shitters.
Use weapons that aren't affected by damage drops that much like Fusions. Most 5/7 bolts to kill weapons will still be 5/7 bolts to kill. Sniper headshots still kill.
