From what ive done so far, with only an ardent for ap, jannas shield will cover about 240+40, however with the shield mastery and ardents new passive, coupled with crucible, her shield is around 426. That's pretty damn good. Max cdr will put you at like 5-6 seconds per shield (or less I don't remember exactly how low the cdr on it was)

Jax is very flexible but you pretty much always build Trinity first item. You might build boots first item if you're losing in certain match ups. Like vs Renekton, if you're having a rough time it's smart to rush Ninja Tabi. I prefer to bring Ghost over Flash on Jax, Jax has his Q to hop to wards, minions and allies so flash just isn't necessary. Ghost allows you to run around and fuck people up, I know Ghost is out of the comfort zone for some people but it's best to get used to it. After Trinity it honestly depends on if you're behind/enemy team comp. I usually get Gunblade after Trinity though, but some people prefer BorK. I've used both many times and there's not a huge difference I can feel, but I prefer the AP and Omnivamp Gunblade gives, although BorK is the clear option against many high HP Tanks. Lategame I like to sell my boots for Phantoom Dancer, the attack speed is nice but it's for the 1v1 12% damage mitigation.
