What was the first sign that TWI had no idea how to make KF2 fun. I think it was when they got rid of XP gain for custom servers. Remember getting into a game of 70 players all out of ammo gathered around scrakes with their melee weapons out. That shit was awesome. Then they got rid of it for some fucking reason. I should have noticed then.

I feel so disappointed about the future of Killing Floor 2. What ever happened to it? Where's the gritty horror feel accompanied by industrial-metal, now, it's flashy science fiction tier environments with out of place christian metal.

The zeds don't even appear to be genetically modified / fucked-with experiments at all, instead, look to be all roided up like you're typical /fit/ user. Plus, the zedcomony basically placed the game in it's grave.

To think that at one point. I was genuinely hyped for Killing Floor 2 after being a long fan of Killing Floor.

I d'nt care too much about MUH ATMOSPHERE, but the gameplay has been nosediving hard since the Sharp update and shows no signs of recovering. TWI has no idea what to do with KF2 except make it more frustrating to play so that it's more "advanced" or some bullshit.

I can see why others wouldn't care but, Killing Floor's atmosphere is really what made me dig it so much. Especially in the pre-steam version, all just sorta fit together ya'know?

Game play wise - I recall being able to play as berserker and, clear throughout a wave of Zeds with little to no problem but, as of recently playing this seems to have drastically changed and, ultimately dumbed down. What a shame.

The characters(newly introduced) don't seem to have anything fun or interesting to them, albeit I find Tanaka somewhat interesting - That's about it. Otherwise, the rest seem to have been simply thrown in because "fuck it we need some more chars"

I think it's the problem that TWI are changing too much of the original formula of what KF1 good.

Aside from Deadeye's negligible bonuses having no contest, the extra ammo is nearly requisite the higher you go. You can get away with it at lower player counts and/or difficulties, but as these parameters rise, there will be an increasing need to tryhard your ammo preservation until you see that you won't have enough ammo ready for every situation. This only worsens the less constructed your party is, which ensures that you need this skill to carry any errors that come your way.

Marksman = Makes M14 and LAR more viable as the fire rate gets a bumpp, move speed is a must for outrunning lesser Zeds and beating fatboys to the ammobox.

Ballistic Shock = For whipping out serious cock shock on Scraks and FPs with deadly results. Being able to stun Scraks with four headshots or FPs with four heartshots is no joke.

REU = When combined with the M14 your ability to wreck & kek all over big guys becomes essentially unparalleled. Railgun is also seriously buffed by this. Giving up rapid reload may seem hard at first, but once you see the true power of REU, you won't miss it.

Ammo = SS's only weakness is a small ammo pool- until now. Allows for far more liberal use of the M14, and is a must-have for the Railgun.

Zed time stun = Better than knockdown because knockdown will fuck up your headshot convenience.

Every time I join a "new" game now, it means that wave 1 has started before I finish loading, and I actually start as wave 2. As a support, this is gamebreaking. I can usualy barely afford a boomstick and a M4 combo by the 5th wave on long goddamnit.

There's no magic answer here, that's just how it is. If your team starts wiping, whoever's left has to make up for all the lost damage – kiting ensues. You can pick something that has an easier time doing so (i.e. medics) but that's that.

Of course, it's still feasible that the fight goes 'normally'. If you're wondering why it always seems otherwise, then your team simply isn't handling the boss that well.

Hans is comparatively vulnerable to explosives now, and it does deal a decent amount (essentially, your Demo/team isn't fucked a slot for having a Demo, but 1 Demo max). I excluded making mention of this to your original question, but while explosives still do jack-all against Patty, Nuke is broken against him right now. As far as your inquiry goes I suppose this is a temporary "tactic".

To speak to factors that can up your chances, simple stuff is just bursting Hans' shield with i.e. AA12; dedicated zerker tank; someone that can stun; just knowing how to move or react to the bosses in general.

Also, Hans does pretty garbage ranged damage, so if your team keeps distance, you can just let someone soak up the spray and Hans will be easier to hit for it.

For commando:
1st and second tier is preference. tac reload and mag size are both good perks. i prefer tac reload myself.
2nd tier you should always use backup until scrakes spawn. I only noticed stumble on scrakes, but that's only really useful on solo play. I couldn't stumble a 6p HoE fp with impact so i doubt it's useful there. Do note that backup is currently bugged where the swap speed doesn't work when playing online, only offline does it work. so when scrakes come the choice is up to you. I keep backup myself.
3rd and 4th tier go left. No brainer.
5th tier i'd mostly suggest left. Right is good but very situational, really only useful when there's a scrake or FP. The real time reloading is always useful, you can always top up during zed time.

You guys are fucking retard what part of balancing don't you get? SS is so OP it makes every other perk almost irrelevant at this point. Don't you think it's fucked up that pretty much all the perks use m14 off perk and that railgun kills 6men HoE scrake in 2 shots WITHOUT even using any of the damage skills in SS's skilltree?

You're having "fun" for the first time because you're using a perk that's inherently going to make you near untouchable and hand you kills on a platter.
One shot crawlers when other classes have trouble with them? Check.
Decap any medium ZED in a matter of .5 sec from any distance, with 2 to 4 rounds max? Check.
Blow up Husks in one shot? Check.
Stun HoE Fleshpounds and decap them in 6 xbow bolts? Check.
Stun HoE scrake and decap them in 2 railgun shots, alternatively, 4 xbow bolts, or mabe just 15 m14 rounds? Check.

The only, the ONLY small issue you might have playing lvl>15 SS on HoE right now is that you still don't see stalkers, and you can't really one shot them until you switch to the LAR, which may take a second. Other than that, you're untouchable. Maybe Fleshpounds will batter to death you if you get stuck or something, but stunning them with xbow/railgun isn't exactly hard since they don't wobble their head.

SS needs a serious nerf, and it's been already. Notice you can't decap a HoE scrake with offperk m14 as easily? It used to take 15-20 shots, within a magazine, now a magazine doesn't do the trick anymore.
The railgun should be ditched entirely, it has no place. Xbow is good enough and should be high tier, the railgun is total overkill. Perhaps give it an awkward charge time that delays the shot or less ammo.
The m14 is fine but should be nerfed to stay SS optimized and become not so good offperk.
The LAR is fine, the xbow is fine too.

It's much too easy to play SS, and it's much too easy to win HoE these days.

Zerkwalling isn't inherently bad, it's a good use of perk to have a zerk bottleneck an opening such as the left door on outpost trucks.

But let's be real here, shitters will be shitters, and the camp zerkwall strats almost always fail, anyone who knows how to play HoE doesn't do it, the point is moot. Zerk needs fixing without a doubt, especially in its ability to handle scrakes (i only played it a few minutes after SS came out and didn't touch it since, so maybe it changed?).

And maybe if everyone was buffed to the proper amount they should be, and they would throw at us more Scrakes and Fleshpounds in late HoE, the balance would be good.

SS is not that strong, the problem is that tripwire has yet to give a reliable answer to scrakes and FPs up until now. I don't miss the days of having to mag dump into a scrake as a commando because we needed all the DPS possible in order for whoever has the scrake/FP agro to not die. First we needed supports to spam AA12s, then they nerfed support, so we needed circle strafe, then they fixed that, then we needed zerkers to parry big zeds, then they nerfed that and they just kept nerfing whatever people used to kill big zeds cleanly because god forbid we have a reliable way to kill big zeds that doesn't involve at least 4 people magdumping them.

Don't even get me started on the ammo issues. I remember many rounds boiling down to people walking 3-4 scrakes around because nobody had ammo to kill them and it can still happen even with SS because sometimes shit happens or sometimes you get shitters who die 30 seconds into a wave on a long match.

SS has an easy time with big zeds now because literally every other perk is a glorified trash cleaner, as an SS you'll never have to worry about trash fucking up your aim because anything that's not an SS pretty much has the sole job of killing trash.

Like I said, either buff the other perks and start throwing much more zeds in late waves, or probably just nerf damage/ammo, possibly remove railgun but that's not gonna fly obviously.
The perk itself is nothing crazy, it's the weapons that are. Offperk m14 is unbeatable; just give one to everyone and what could possibly get close? Even a FP gets decaped in a matter of seconds under sustained offperk m14 fire.

I would rather have the first option. I don't hate SS I'm just objectively saying it beats every single other perks at killing every single zed.

I really really like SS, as it is my favourite perk from KF1 and I waited a long time for it, despite this, I know it is OP and it will be nerfed.

However, despite knowing that SS will be nerfed and accepting that, I seriously hope that any nerfs that come won't cripple SS, because I look at TW's history of "moderations" and it concerns me.

Any perk can run away from a Scrake as far as I know because it will stop in place to swing its chainsaw, so if you just keep running it'll never hit you.

That idea sounds extremely clunky. You'd have to kite the zeds and then REALLY quickly and you'd need to be able to open the trader menu so you can buy the ammo you want.
You can't just have it be an autorefill tied to a single button. Imagine how often the game would randomly prioritize a weapon to get an ammo fill over the one you want.
Like if you want M14 ammo but it refills the Railgun first, or vice versa.
So you'd need 5 seconds at least to pick the ammo you want to refill.
How would you even make the trader send out a pod? A voice command people can spam? An automatic event when you get low on ammo?

More of a "Press E to fill ammo" instead of opening a menu, so it's basically an interactive ammo box that only has 1 use per player.

All they really have to do is remove the dmg fall-off, restore is percentage gain in damage back to their initial value, make supplier passive like it is on demo now and replace a few perk choices with something more meaningful, with both options having equal value/use.

Knowing tripwire the perk tree revision will put support in an awkward spot again, with only one side of perks being useful while the other side is filler trash.
My guess is they will split it into "improve your trash cleaning and crowd control ability VS more options and damage against single targets" .

Knowing the forums saying "ARMOUR REGEN IS OP PLS REMOVE" is worrying as is, its nowhere near as bad as it was before. People underestimate the armor perk. You gain 5% of your armor with every zed time extension, too. Commandos are your best friends in this case and your medic will thank you for saving his middle mouse button from breaking. Commando is slightlyeasybutnotaseasyasyouthink mode if you have good aim. His biggest issue is big zeds because he can't stun/knockdown them with on perk weapons. With m14 he can solo 6p HoE scrakes pretty ez but that's cause of the power of m14, not mando.

The recent changes didn't really buff him anyway. for my playstyle at least, i lost 25 health and the 50% mag boost, and gained 25 armor, 5% damage, and 50% less recoil, and 50% switch speed. I find the loss of mag size was a bigger deal than the armor, switch speed and damage. The recoil is pretty neat but i was perfectly fine without it before.

The only reason people think he's "op" now is because other classes got fucked in the ass with resistances and stuff. He's pretty much as powerful as he has been before.

For support I had an idea of a skill where its sort of like knockback, but not really. It'd work best for the AA12 but others it could find a way.
Basically as long as you keep continuous fire on a big guy, you can essentially slow them down because they're getting a face of full pellets. It'd give support some sort of way to solo them easier as well as "supporting" the team by having big zeds who charge at you will be more sluggish in movement so theres more time to quickly handle them if a sharps busy handling another big threat. For stuff like the boomstick i'd say knockback could work but that should be more as a "you're on your own for this one" type of deal since that + getting out of reach would be easier for you but tougher on teammates with everything zipping about.
