So, how is someone supposed to rank up if you rank is entirely dependent on your W/L, instead of your performance?

Let's suppose a guy that is actually rank 65 is stuck on MMR 30. If he is solo q, and his W/R stays at about 50% (he may be good, but he can't carry a whole game by himself), how is he supposed to go to his actual rank?

I'm at rank 47 (was 49, but I lost three matches and won 2, and for some reason went down two ranks), how the fuck am I supposed to go rank 50+? Every loss takes a huge chunk of my level, and every win only adds a small bit, even though all matches were pretty balanced.

What is the best heroes to use when playing ranked solo?

Usually i get teams that only want to be pubstars and only pick offensive heroes or Hanzo/Widowmaker, so i often have to be the support. Most of the time i pick Lucio since he can atleast survive on his own somewhat.

At some point, I'd say at level 50 easily, you already know all the layouts and who does what.

Sure people can improve the more they play, but it's not a linear increase at all. I wouldn't necessarily expect a rank 250 to be better than a rank 100
