Pretty much all of it has to be attributed to divine favor. Mesektet is the ship of Ramesses' namesake, Ra, who was the patron deity of pharaohs. The sphinx is a beast of Horus. Both the sphinx and the other beasts are guardians of the temples. Not really out of left field that they'd be there in a fantasy setting, since it's not uncommon for Egyptian temples to have various monsters depicted as symbolic guardians.

The NP seal is reaching really far, though. I can't recall it being described in detail why the temple can seal NPs other than that divine power is involved, but it's still reaching.

A reason why the temple is such a huge deal is because it's actually a bunch of temples smashed together. I suppose it's kinda like Ionian Hetairoi but with temples instead of soldiers. Since he's the King of Kings his temple gets piled on top of temples built by lesser pharaohs.

Buzz made the crystal of souls by using the same mana crystal refinement technology that Atomic Gatorade used in the UBW anime to make mana crystals out of human souls.

The mud is something Buzz used to taint Heracles along with his final command spell, forcing the human side of him to the forefront and causing him to reject all of his divinity out of his hatred for the gods.

He was already contracted with him from the start, otherwise he wouldn't have been able to use command spells in the first place.
