why is it so fucking difficult to defeat Japan's navy as USA in HOI4?

I have a navy that is almost 3 times bigger, but I can't send all my ships to attack the Japanese navy at the same time because there is not a single fucking base that could house all those ships.

So I send then in separate groups and then the Japas come and attack them and destroy most of my ships, and since my naval bases are crap they have to go back all the way to Hawaii to get repaired.

Shit it looks like building naval bases in the middle of nowhere is ridiculously important if you are playing as USA. Maybe I'll have to start all over and build those bases in the early games before the war starts.

So my Marshal just died randomly, and I have 2 commanders that are capable of filling in. However, I cannot select either of them to "appoint councillor". When I mouse over it, it says "Requirements: (red X)We have any honorary titles to give to Daniel".

Holy shit sieges look good as fuck.

Only complaints is how slow body falls and how he couldn't open the door from inside, but that's easy to fix. Also hope you can hit people through the cracks in the door.

I hope walls can be completely destroyed with enough damage and that sieging affects cities, killing people and damaging buildings.

With that and a little mod support Bannerlord will be a way better medieval game than Medieval 2 or CK2.
I hope they really develop the politics part of the game more.

Why did I pay money for Conclave?

I've had DLCs be disappointing in games before but I've never had a DLC completely break the immersion and ruin my game.

I had no trouble as Finland but I did not aim for a world conquest, was one of my first games.

Only build Military Factories, Sweden+Norway should give you enough factories to build a decent Army.

Join the Axis but only in their war against the Soviets. Ignore their calls against the Allies for until the Soviets are beat.
Go for Superior Firepower Doctrine and integrated Support.
Focus on Infantry + AT Artillery and Air superiority. Main army is Infantry+Mountaineers only and you simply avoid fighting their tanks and surround them before attacking. Or assist the german panzers when they attack. Build some division with 4 AT Brigades and use them as reinforcements if the soviets Armored Divisions attack.

By the end of 41 the soviets capitulated and the game became boring. I still invaded the UK and took northern France because for some reason Germany did not mange to do beat France on her own.

I'm actually currently working on one such mod lad. Since I was like 8, I've always had the autistic urge to do alternative and "fun" shit in the games I'm playing, autistic stuff like designing my own RP story in GTA 3 and pretending I'm executing some huge bank heist, which would usually consist of a solid 4-5 hours of full-blown autism like pointless running from the cops

Problem is, it's not a general fix mod but rather my autism represented in yet another game - it's a mod about an alt-history democratic Balkan Federation with unified Yugoslavia, Bulgaria and Wallachia, supposedly an invention of the UK and France as a tool against totalitarianism on the peninsula. You start as the democratic BF (Western Bulgaria, Thrace, Macedonia and Eastern Serbia), and to your east, there is an ongoing Communist civil war directly supported (in a faction) by Communist Romania, to your west, another part of your country is divided into a second civil war, the one of the Fascists and supported by (again in a faction) Hungary. Both communist and fascist factions are also in a war against each other.

Your goal is to play as the democratic BF in the middle of all of that and overcome both civil wars, and then Romania and Hungary. You get a long enough idea tree with two initial choices (only one can be chosen) - Military focus or Political focus. The military tree provides you with a huge boost to your army and production so you overcome them manually, while the political tree provides you with attracting the neutral neighbors to your Democratic Union faction - Greece and Turkey, and a couple of beneficial trade events.

The OOBs of all the participants in that war are balanced in such a way that you BARELY manage to survive, and you must do so using manual control over your army, and long-term planning

I can take over Italy as Yugoslavia, but I won't keep Italy, it's fucking unrealistic for Yugoslavia to perpetually occupy Italy. So, I'll take Istria and Friuli, essentially expand the border on to areas where South Slavs live and thus I have a "justification" in my mind. Like, I'll occupy and take Bulgaria-as it almost happened post WW2-becuase they're south Slavs but on the other hand I'll just puppet Hungary.

Personally I think that the game should penalise you severely for straight up annexations of large areas proportionally to your population, the pro's are just too good and there's barely any cons. So only major powers such as Germany, USA, USSR, etc should be able to succesfully keep controll over other major nations. It's silly that, for example, Greece is capable of occuppying and keeping controll over 50+ million people across the balkans(!) with a population of ~6 million.

For my "elite" divisions, I add another column of 2x inf and 3x AA, and another with 2x inf and 3x TD (use that to counter armored ones)

In CK2, is there any reason to build a trade post in my own county when playing as a Merchant Republic, or should I only build them in neighboring nations' counties within the trade zone? I've looked up info on Merchant Republics/Trade Posts/Zones all over but literally no one addresses the ability to build a post in, say, your own capital.

Furthermore, why don't my AI vassal republics ever have nice continuous trade zones like pic related? They always have random holes in there, which as I understand stem from no one family being dominant within the zone. Is it because I keep telling them to stop their plots to seize posts?

There doesn't seem to be a lot of info out there on non-feudal governments.
