Is Winston vs. Zenyatta the most one-sided matchup in the game?

I get that Zen is squishy by design, and I get that Winston is supposed to jump in and kill squishy characters, but with a little luck and careful aim Zen can at least hold his own against most of his unfavorable matchups (fuck you can even shoot Pharah out of the sky if you lead your shots right) whereas Winston can close the gap so rapidly and do so much damage that it's almost unwinnable. Not to mention, Lucio can airblast/self-heal/speedboost away, which makes outrunning Winston trivial in most cases while Mercy can just fly to the nearest Reinhardt and put Winston in the Cincinnati Zoo. Zenyatta has no movement abilities, no health regeneration (shields take forever and only represent 100 of his 150 health) and lowest health in the game. He's by far the easiest class for Winston to kill since he can't outrun or outheal his beam and unless he Discord/shoots Winston before he can monkey jump in and lands all headshots on a moving target that doesn't even really have to aim at him, he's done. Even then it might be close. I seriously can't think of a worse matchup. At least pre-nerf Widowmaker had to take aim.

I love Zenyatta and he's by far my most played hero but I feel like he's riding the line of irrelevancy right now. His only advantage over Mercy and Lucio is his DPS and the fact that he can heal from a distance, but other than that they have him beat (Harmony doesn't even outheal 76's Biotic Field wtf). He ideally needs some kind of movement ability or buff and maybe even some kind of improvement/tweaking to Harmony healing to stay relevant because right now he can rip through people but it very much depends on their inability to target him or their ignorance/apathy towards him in general teamfights. Once anyone with remote knowledge of the game decides it's time for Zenyatta to die they'll go Winston and it's over, no contest. At least if he could get out of tickle range it would be closer.

I won all three times I played Symmetra on the final point of Hanamura using this strategy. The last time someone told me to switch, but upvoted my card at the end. Ignoring the unspectacular ult, she is still a very effective anti-flanker. One character secures the entire right side of Hanamura.

To anyone out there who plays McRee, does it ever bother you that the crosshair jumps up after a left-click shot? I tried playing him a bit, but when I'm trying to track a moving target, it's annoying af to have the crosshair jump up after every shot. I mean, I know that it's actually still in the same place, and that the crosshair returns to normal after a second, but you can even fire again a little bit before the crosshair comes all the way back down. It's still accurate, but it's harder to aim without waiting slightly longer than needed inbetween shots

Even outside of all the raw healing/damage numbers, which are impressive, the simple fact that there are now two targets in the air is too much for pubs to handle. If a Pharah jumps in the air there's one target in the air and everyone shoots her and she dies. Yeah, as a Mercy player S76 can be a problem, but it really depends on the map and position. I try not to always be in the air as a Mercy if it's in an open area, just asking to be shot then.

My friend who was huge into soldier into TF2 likes her a lot, besides my pocket I hardly ever see any pharah's utilize rocket jumps instead of using their booster pack.

TF2 is at its heart a FPS, so there was always a scene for custom servers, mapmaking, custom game modes, 16v16 instaspawn shit, 1v1 MGE proskillz servers, however you wanted to play you could play.

Overwatch is at its heart a MOBA, and a poorly featured one at that. 6v6 only, no custom anything. You can't just join a server and pick Hanzo and play for 4 hours on a map you like just because that's how you want to play, you have to play in 10 minute bursts with people crying that you're not playing the objective right because that's literally the only option you have of playing the game.

Well like I said I don't think pharah is nearly as complex as soldier, but she has a lot more mechanics and nuances than most other classes in Overwatch, from what I've seen playing against/with other pharahs and my pocket is that there's a lot of ways to improve your pharah game.

You can be good with only a few heroes, but still occasionally play and get experience with the rest of them. Getting to know the other heroes even helps your play as your main. You can better support and better fight those heroes, and generally read the state of the game better.

Just about every game as Pharmercy is a carry, had a numbani defense yesterday, we got pushed all the way to the last point, cart about 1m away from winning, thanks to a few key rezzes by me and me and my pharah shutting down their offense constantly we won. It just seems people only play the one shot heroes at this point (Widow, Junkrats, Roadhog, all that pleasant stuff). How is this game balanced anyways?

It seems to be balanced around shitty balance decisions such as Junkrat's one shot butt hurting combo. At least Pharah takes some skill to do what he does.

I also don't get why Bastion/Mei/Hanzo/Torbjorn exist. If they're useless in higher MMRs and just make the game less fun in low MMRs, what's the point?

Did Blizzard REALLY decide to make the game purposefully cancerous? Playing healer (which I do a lot of the time) gets boring when you realize most of the teams you'll get are shitters and/or your friends are literally worse than those pubbies.

Do I just hope they tune down shit like Junkrat's "balanced" kit?
