Pianofire was really good too. But just the way this was used in Episode 2 to capture the morning atmosphere was perfect.

Watching earlier scenes from the game it's nice to see Max being happy about her power. It's nonsense that the intended lesson was "Don't both trying" when it should have been "Help people however you can".
I get that jumping into the past to change things can result in unintended changes down the line, but there's absolutely no harm done when Max rewinds something bad to change it immediately. It's not altering destiny, because there is no such thing as destiny. It's expanding the possibilities and giving the people she's helping new chances.

Chloe wasn't rich like Nathan, had connections to drugs, or influence to make Rachel famous.
A lot of stuff is unknown about Rachel, but I do not see her having any ulterior motive for hanging with Chloe. They were genuinely friends and Rachel wanted to keep things good between them (Which is why she hid the truth even though in the end it just caused more pain.)
Some people paint Rachel as a manipulative mastermind. I see the opposite: She was naive and did not realize how her attempts to be nice were hurting the people she cared about.

Do we really know that? All we find out is that she had a terrible relationship with her step-father (which was perpetuated by both Chloe and David's actions). She was hostile to her mom, but that's common enough in even 'nice', otherwise well-behaved teenagers. It's hard for her to understand the situation in a removed, empathetic way at that age, particularly when things are so fraught.
She likely saw it as her mother betraying her father by remarrying so quickly, introducing a hostile strange authority figure into the house, and then not being there for her (even if this was because she had to work long hours to pay off the mortgage, something Chloe would have come to appreciate eventually).
She was friends with Rachel, and other Blackwell students. She may have been a bitch to Victoria, but who knows what went on between the two of them to potentially justify that.

The title of the first episode "Chrysalis" applies to Chloe just as much as it does Max. It makes me think that it should have been the title of the finale.

Nothing was said in game, but there is no way she didn't mention Max to Rachel. Joyce said Chloe talked about Max still and just thinking about how much we heard about Rachel, I cannot imagine that Rachel wouldn't have heard about Max. Maybe Rachel even tried to get Chloe to call Max at some point.
Or it makes sense if you believe that Max was given her power by Rachel's spirit. Which is the theory I've adopted.

I'm torn on it.
On one hand, I agree. I don't get how neither of them picked up a phone or used some form of social media to contact each other.
On the other, I can see why. Max left Chloe as Chloe's life was turned upside down. Chloe had every right in the world to be upset even if the anger wasn't directed at an individual. She may not have contacted Max at first out of being distraught, then as time went on and Chloe changed (Or devoted most of her attention towards Rachel) she may have been scared that Max wouldn't like who she had become. Even though the changes weren't really that drastic.
As for Max we see through the alternate timeline that leaving for Seattle when/how she did really messed with her social skills. So she was also scared that if she called Chloe, they may just end up disliking each other. As time went on that feeling grew, which is why she didn't contact Chloe even once she was back in Arcadia Bay.

What I can say though is that how they met again was the best way possible. since it allowed them to quickly reconnect and move past the "Why didn't you call me?" stuff since they had a focus and more important matters to worry about.

Haven't been here in months, bust stumbled across this book while researching a ghost of the same name and couldn't help but see a familiar resemblance to both the book covers characters and the character descriptions.

This is just someone refusing to kill one person to save a greater number of people, which is generally considered to be a morally neutral action. Throughout the game Max has been observant and documents things around her. It's what she does as a photographer. She takes evidence from Victoria's room, Frank trailer, and others places to prove things- but when it comes to the Dark Room she doesn't take a single binder or thing found that could be used as evidence. It's contradictory to how she acted in the previous episodes and it's just one occasion where previous character traits are disregarded. Which is one of my bigger issues with the second half of Episode 4 and all of Episode 5.
