Is there a checklist for someone who is going to be in hardmode for the first time? I still need to beat the wall of flesh and i want to be prepared for hardmode. Dig out tunnels around areas you want to protect. Be aware that killing WoF spawn a V shape of crimson/corruption and hallow. Really, the main thing you want to protect is underground jungle, corruption/crimson will irreversibly destroy it.

You can also fish for crates so you can kill plantera faster, it really slows the spread.

You don't need preparation, I live in a hole in the ground with Guide as my fuckbuddy and we are fine, the spread is extremely slow and killing the Jungle boss stops it completely.
I am pretty much ready for Plantera and I haven't seen any effect of the spread yet.

The jungle didn't get corrupted at all so he decided to see what would happen if someone was retarded enough to keep a world where the jungle is completely surrounded by crimson.

I just started playing this a few days ago and I'm really enjoying it. I managed to get lucky enough to get the Arkhalis early in the game when I found a sword grove, and I am about to finish up with preparations for hardmode. I was wondering whether the Arkhalis is good enough for hardmode until I get the Cutlass or something, or if I should ditch it right away for the Phasesaber or something. It seems pretty damn good even with its low damage and range.

I also have a Star Cannon.

Any other tips for hardmode?

Also I have the cellphone already and the pieces I can get of the Ankh Shield.

The cutlass is definitely a good sword, but the pirates can be a pain in the ass if you're still in pre-hardmode gear. The Phasesaber is shit; instead I usually make a titanium or adamantite sword to tide me over until I find a better one. But you definitely want titanium armor; it's far superior to adamantite.

Some good weapons you can get right away in hardmode with minimal effort:

>Amarok: yoyo that inflicts frostburn debuff--kill stuff in the snow biome

1. Inferno potion. This gets rid of the bubbles he fires off so you can focus on dodging just him and those tornadoes.

2. Mobility accessories. Use wings + frostspark boots instead of the UFO mount, that shit is slow.

3. Homing weapons, such as chlorophyte bullets or the possessed hatchet. If you don't have to focus too much on aiming, you can spend more time dodging.
