I'm curious, can anyone tell me about how many players I will see per screen(as in a town for example) and about how many of those players play the Elin race?

If you play Elin everyone's first impression will inevitably be just-another-Elin-player. In towns the Elin population is usually at least 2-4 per every other race, if not higher at various times during the day. Levelling as a lancer through the dungeon finder system most groups are 3-4 Elins while my Amani towers over them like a school teacher taking a class out on a field trip.

I'm thinking of playing this again, never made it far in the beta and the few first weeks after release. Is there any demand for a big, strong, Amani/Baraka oniichan, or will I get bullied/ignored if I'm not an Elin ERPer?

Yep, zerks are pretty much the "Ok, actual tank is dead, let me put up my tank stance while he gets raised" class. Positioning tools aren't nearly as good as lancer/brawler, and well, you know balance. Ninja is a dps melee class, very fast paced, can teleport to the backside of an enemy which is very useful since optimally in Tera dps always attack from the back of bosses to get something like a 5x crit and 40% damage boost (math isn't exact but they're in that area) with the right gear setup.

They also have a ton of dodges/invincibility frames to survive attacks.

They have the most extensive list of costumes
Most newer costumes will briefly be cheaper for an elin as they're opened/purchased by an elin (costume boxes give you a costume for the race that opens them)

Aesthetically they're pretty cute in my opinion. When I first started Tera I tried to avoid them, but they're literally the race that has kept this game alive and that says something about them being a well liked, reasonably well made race, even if there's probably a lot of people who simply play them because they look underaged, or like animes, or generally have the anthropomorphic thing going on.

In the future if you want other fast as fuck classes consider - reaper (also elin only), slayer or warrior.

I would not recommend slayer or warrior to you yet because warriors could be in better shape balance wise and slayers don't really get into the full swing of things as a class until level 63, which considering the cap is 65, is pretty ridiculous. Also if you're new you can't make a reaper until 40.

Overall though all 3 are fun classes and I would judge them as reasonably quick paced, but ninja is the best dps right now so it's a good thing to start with.

Brawlers are also nice, but they're a tank.

Here's a radical idea anon, why don't you organize runs for the dungeons that you want to do? If people in your guild hate SS it's probably because they haven't gotten good at it yet and they die a lot, so just say "anyone want to do a practice run of SSNM to get good?" and watch as people line up to join your pressure-free run of mildly challenging content. Like, I personally can't stand SS but I love FI and DF, so when I log in I ask my guildies if they want to do those things with me before I queue, and that's how I end up running the stuff I want to run. If I sat around all day waiting for someone else to organize something, then I'd never run anything because people in my guild would apparently rather try IMS than ask the bored people idling in town for content first.

I don't know why this shit bothers me but it does. Like, how hard is it to just ask people in your guild before you hit the fucking queue button? Or I don't know, if you want to do X dungeon, is it really so difficult to ask if anyone in your guild is interested before you check LFG? Organizing content runs isn't difficult yet nobody wants to even try it. And then you get those same people, who never try to do anything with their guild, complaining about "ded guild ded game" when their behavior fosters the kind of stagnant community they're complaining about in the first place.

You want to SSNM? Stop waiting for someone else to bring it up and organize it yourself. Put up with people sucking for a few runs and when it's over you'll have a solid group of people to run with.

I IMS it regularly but shit's just tedious and not even a challenge with most parties nowadays. I don't really have to put in much effort to get by (Viyor's ghost mechanic went from instakill to 50% HP damage ffs, can't even be arsed with ghosts nowadays) and I don't really feel the same sense of urgency to save retards for getting rekt by Desolarus ghosts/crystal bombs like I used to. Zerker is the only one with a lifesteal gimmick but only for itself. It sounds like you want to dps and heal.

You should look into mystics. While leveling they can churn out pretty good dps compared to a lot of the older classes with a proper crystal setup, if you know what you are doing of course.

Your main role will still be healing but you can contribute some when you have downtime. Dont die in the process though.

As for things working out, all classes can solo level. Besides job overlap, any party comp should work out. Plus, if you go heal and tank, thats instaqueua forever.

Just a tip, you shouldn't open with stun. They have a good chance of just getting out of the stun at the end of the duration rather than going through their standup animation.

Dps during the startup animation and then stun when they end that.

That said, levelling is super easy anyway so you can probably ignore this, but it's something to help.

Viable as in you can clear, yes. Viable as is is it the best choice hell no. Warrior tank is directly inferior to Brawler in every possible way.

Brawler patch completely fucked tank balancing as it brought with it this idea that tanks should be another DPS but with aggro. This places hybrid dps/tank classes ( warrior/berzerker ) in a stupid spot where they can never be properly balanced.

IMO they really should consider just removing Brawler from the game or at least nerfing it so much it's so unviable that it is never played again. It was a shitty attempt at pandering to the worst type of players at the rest of the games expense.

I played with a similar build, but with a cheap Radeon GPU instead and it worked at or around minimum settings. If you really want to play the game, it should run well enough, though you'll want better specs to really get the most out of it.
