It does not, but it's still useful to have. Wind Mastery will increase the power of Zanverse, and Light Mastery is pretty useful for any Darker boss since tech explosions are generally less useful against them (or any single target)

Oh, I almost forgot, all of the elemental mastery skills will increase the power of their associated compound techniques, that is definitely worth looking into for that.

For Braver, you might want to look into a T-ATK bow and the Rapid Shoot branch for Banish Arrow shenanigans, or Average Stance if you aren't fully rainbow, or to better deal with things with no element weakness or natural weak point, like darker laser towers in mining base.

All attack techniques will take into account your total T-ATK, which includes any T-ATK on the weapon you're currently wielding.

Banish Arrow (and Volgraptor) work by marking a target and then "recording" any damage done to them while the mark is placed, and after a short duration the mark explodes, the total damage recorded to them being dealt again

A Te/Br would use a Rikauteri (an 11* bow equippable by Techer, with quite a bit of T-ATK on it) to mark a target with Banish Arrow, and then cast high powered techniques to deal big numbers on bosses

Although actually I'm not really sure this is a thing people still bother with since 13* and weapon boosts (a damage boost of which Rikauteri would not benefit on a Techer main) became a thing

There's a shop on the second floor that deals exclusively in them, the main things are +250% rare drop rate boosters, and ability affix boosters, although you might find other things to your liking in there too

It's the best free exploration in the game precisely because of those things

The targeted spawn locations keep an entire MPA in one place instead of scattered around doing random shit, and the dash pads make it a simple matter to get from the start to wherever you need to be quickly

Train Ghidoran in its own ARKS Quest keeps that short and sweet while the free field is actually a free field instead of being shit to just skip over on your way to the boss

Detroit has one boss for the ARKSQ and one boss for the free explore. FE can be cut at 500 points. Area layout is designed as usual.
Tokyo has only one boss for both quests, FE requires 1000 points, and the layout is just straight lines aside from that occasional park area or whatever it is.

They will if you reach a certain threshold of enemies already present on the map, so even in these the best practice is to clear out what you can to keep the map from filling with enemies you don't actually want.

But back to Tokyo, it's not that tall of an order, either, small enemies are not actually hard to kill, they die in seconds. Clearing a spawn will often trigger a code to clear for more points as well.

New control scheme introduced in EP4, optional for existing players, but the default for new players.

Instead of just two attack buttons, comboing with certain types, and the "weapon action" (guard, photon blades, stylish roll, etc.) being fixed to a single assignment, all weapons have a three button front palette and back palette and the weapon action becomes something that can be freely assigned

Just to clarify, overall gameplay changes are done by Nakamura, the guy who was entirely responsible for PAs and Skill tree design of Episode 2. Kimura simply oversees the game much like Sakai and gives the OK for things to pass into the game.

Assisted by Hamasaki who was responsible for EP3's balance adjustments, PS0, Portable 2/Infinity etc. Please remember though that part of PSO2's development is also overseen by 2 SONY representatives now since it became a PS4 title.

It's probably too late for you but I honestly wouldn't recommend ship 2. The Ship 2 English community is a cancerous environment.A lot of people are quitting lately because of episode 4, and a big portion of the people who stayed are trying to turn this game into something it isn't. I play on ship 4 mainly, with 2 alts on other ships, one of them being 2. My ship 4 team is chill and quite skilled, but finding a team on 2 that is both of those things is pretty rare. On 2 I'm in a really big (over 90 people) casual team, and while they aren't the best, they're fun to hang out and talk about anime with.

But I always hear about a lot of dumb drama shit going down on 2, as well as other shit like RMT and EN people hacking and even stealing shit from their own people. No joke. That and teams like Quasar who try to turn everything into a competition and make it very personal when they "beat" you and go around starting shit with everyone.

I'm EU so idk, maybe it's an American thing but I can't understand why so many people use this game as a means to gain e-fame/feed their egos or reap a profit rather than playing to have fun. It certainly fits the stereotype, I guess.

I really feel like a lot of the good people quit pso2. I never thought the EN community would ever get this bad 2 years ago when I started. I've heard about the stuff that people here were/are involved in but there are big, well known teams that are just as bad. Maybe it's just a case of people thinking "I can't get reported/banned, nobody's gonna do shit, might as well be an asshole" or team leaders not being able to control their members like what happened with Quasar but ship 2 is in a really bad place right now.

If you still plan on playing on 2 and want to meet people who are active and friendly, I'd recommend going to visiphone and searching for a large team that welcomes newbies. They might be filthy casuals but pso2 is a casual game after all.
