When you can knock an enemy off of the map.

When you can push an enemy away immediately as they ult.

To travel roughly half the distance to the objective on KOTH if you place it right from spawn.

The best use for it is a reserve when you're in deep shit and need to get out of sight. Pharah is vulnerable on the ground and if she's being targeted, launching immediately into the air won't save you. Jumping up beside a wall and using the blast against it will launch you into another direction, possibly hiding you. Great practice for it on Ilios.

Yeah I love pig hunting with Zenyatta or even taking down Reinhardt. A few people focusing on his shield will do it and when he drops his shield for a Flame Strike he opens the window for Discord. Sometimes I just time up the hammer swings so that once he's low enough I walk straight up to him and dragon kick him in the face. It's beautiful.

They're all just a chore to play against. I don't really have any problems with Mei since all the people who play her are bad and if you don't over commit you generally won't get your shit wrecked by her.

Hanzo though, it just causes searing rage watching a killcam of him plinking off arrows into a chokepoint, or missing 4 times before hitting you, or random deaths from scatter arrows.

Zarya is annoying just because she never ever dies, and her shield is more of a get out of jail free card than reaper's wraith form.

Mercy needs either her ult to only work if she survives through the entire duration(maybe given armor for said duration), or the ult charge rate needs to be lowered. Mei just needs to do less damage with her freeze gun, and have a cooldown for BOTH wall and block if one is used. Hanzo is straight trash, and Zarya is fine, since her entire game lives or dies with the answer to "Is the rest of her team good?"

Yes, it worked for me the first week, but when i started getting matched with actual FPS players my winrate on her decreased a lot.
She's a flanker that doesn't kill as fast as the other flankers, so you usually end up on 1 for 1 trades, maybe 2 for 1 if the enemy team is specially bad.

The balance to Mercy's ult is that the more people she can effect with it the less defense she has when she uses it. If she is the only person left on her team then she has to glide/run through a crap load of people to get to that perfect location to rez her team.

I have seen a lot of mercy players get stunned or killed just as they were about to try to rez, and I have seen a lot of mercy players have to do suboptimal Qs because it was a deathtrap to try to grab the whole team.

Her Q is an amazing roll of the dice that could end up just prolonging the inevitable or turning the tables.
