Why is Reno Jackson so based?

One of the few cards that actually punishes people for blindly going face. LoE was just well designed in general: Reno, Brann, Elise, Finley.

All of them are good in what they do, without being blatantly OP.

I just changed HS language to Spanish and I noticed that "Well Played" is translated to "Nice Play" (Buena Jugada) instead to something more like "Good Game".
I always thought that the correct translation is Bien Jugado and that's the impression I got from it.

blizzard is just awful at balancing things. They never know when to stop. After tgt, shaman was doing a lot better thanks to totem golem, tuskarr totemic and thunder bluff valiant. The only blatantly broken shaman card in that set was tuskarr, but it's rng so its okay :^)

Then, after LoE, shaman was fucking top tier thanks to trogg and finley, two of the greatest one drops in the entire fucking game. Finally, shaman found it's place on the ladder and seeing a ton of competitive play.

But then, they just fucking kept going. It makes no fucking sense. Instead of focusing on other classes that lost a ton through standard, they kept giving shaman more and more good cards. And not just good cards like master of evolution, but borderline broken cards like 4 mana 7/7 and 0 mana 5/5. It's absolutely baffling. How could they have thought that would be a good idea? It's like they where still reading community complains from 10 months ago, when shaman was still shit. It's like every single hearthstone developer lives under a fucking rock.

Then emrbrace+ circle is better you dip. You dont just circle away a single fucking manawyrm. You play portals for two or three turns and let the mage dump his hand and then kill all of his stuff for two mana and play your own cost reduced cards on an empty board. Everything doomsayer does is buy you a turn, and the mage is just gonna spend it playing portals. The removal just goes 1v1 for every mage card. Clearing a board with two wyrms two apprentices and a portal drop with embrace circle is much more value and generates insane card advantage.

Unpopular opinion but, If you don't like RNG, why play Card Games?

The whole concept of a "card" game rests on the idea of a randomized deck of some sort. The very proposition starts with RNG as base assumption.
Collectible card games take it a step further so that it's not just your deck that is going to be shuffled, and screw you over even if you crafted it masterfully... it's also the pool of cards from which you'll be constructing that deck that is randomized through blind-pack pulls.
Online CCGs take it even further as without being limited by physical cards and game board, they can do some things much easier, like picking three random spaces on a board.
Games where chance is a factor are exciting specifically because you can't 100% predict what will happen. It's fun that even if I memorized all the cards, combos, and all the decks in the meta, I will still face the unexpected every now and then. It's part of being a good CCG player to hedge those risks, and understand when it's appropriate to take advantage of them yourself.
While it's more complicated, "random" effect cards can still have value assigned to them, and that's what you need to take into account when playing / deckbuilding. For the same reasons, OP cards are still OP whether they do something random or not.
Ask yourself, does it really feel less bad if you get a bad draw three times in a row, than when an opponent's random effect works out better than average for them? I don't think so.

there's good rng and bad rng. bad rng is turns 1-3, like juggles. it's literally coinflips to decide games a lot of the time. good rng is rag and brawl that can be played around and comes later in the game.

tempo is essential in this game and most decks win and lose through turn 4. so any kind of rng during this point is BAD rng.

Because RNG can be a valuable tool in crafting a game. The problem is when it is treated as a direct cause of fun. Randomness isn't fun, variance is fun. RNG is one price you can pay to achieve variance, but should never be actively pursued.

It's like if they nerfed SW:P, SW:D and Holy Nova because they are too good (which they are actually), but Priest struggles to be viable, just like Shaman struggled to be viable before.
When this rotation ends, we won't have any of the Cancer stuff, but Doomhammer will remain regardless. Focusing only on Classic cards for the nerf damages the class a lot more than nerfing the expansion cards.

If anything, they need to nerf Dr. 4 and 0 Mana 5/5, and rebalance Tunnel Trogg too, make it something like each time an Overload card is played it gains +1 Attack.

Is this Meta bad?
Currently in ladder we have at least 7 viable decks to hit legend (Midrange Hunter, Zoo, Aggro Shaman, C'Thun Druid, Miracle Rogue, Dragon Warrior and Tempo Warrior) and I'm not even counting the meme decks with Yogg or Fedora Warrior, beforehand there were like 3 or 4 at max (Combo Druid, Secret Pally, Control Warrior and Aggro Shaman).

Totem Golem is integral to Aggro Shaman for the 4 health and Overload, and Tuskarr Totemic is pretty much the same.
You take Totem Golem out and it gets a lot more difficult to find something that can buffer Tunnel Trogg that early, plus you miss out on turn 2 plays. Tuskarr Totemic is probably the best tempo play for turn 3 in the game at the moment.

There are other cards like Argent Horserider (a.k.a. Powercreeped Wolfrider) which helps a lot for trades.

Shaman loses out on early game with TGT rotating out honestly.

Tuskarr isn't overpowered, in the previous expansion it was considered a joke because your totem golem value was lessened and it has the stats of a 2 drop for 3 mana.

Standard was a step in the right direction but Blizzard fucked it up desu.

Making sets rotate was a good idea. Making Classic the permanent core set was a terrible idea and it's only going to become obvious after a few rotations when people realize that Zoo and Miracle Rogue are going to be permanently in the game because the core cards are in Classic/Basic.

There are so many issues with Classic that it's ridiculous and it's absurd that the only reason we're stuck with it is because Ben Brode doesn't want to solidify a reprint policy.

For what it's worth, I think the Standard we have now is perfectly fine. There isn't an issue with the health of the meta due to Standard - but there is an issue with the fact that there aren't enough cards in the game total. Standard works in Magic because there are thousands of cards in it at any given time. 100-ish cards twice a year and two dozen once a year are not enough cards.

Play alot of cantrip deathrattles like hucksters, loot hoarders, tomb pillagers with raptors copying pillager then drop nzoth turn 8 if possible then shadowsteping or shadowcasting it for maximum cantrip potential. Because you're playing a subpar deck in a meta full of aggro decks, C'thun decks and warrior decks. I also never liked the leeroy combo in renolock, takes up too many spaces and you rarely need it, imo. Don't think so, sorry. The way I played it involved big flamewaker turns that dealed a good 10 damage from pings. Lacking 10+ damage that are pretty much needed to win against Zoo just makes it unplayable. Would also say it's necessary against Zzz Warrior since you want to kill that guy before he can hide behind his armor so every damage counts. If anything I would exclude Yogg. Played that only like 8 times and it only won me 2 games (once it killed a drakonid crusher and drew me 4 cards, another time it wiped the enemy board and bloodlusted my two creatures twice for lethal).

Just delete everything that makes freeze mage even remotely viable already. I don't care if the deck is shit, it's anti-fun incarnate and should be removed completely from the game.

All the legendaries are equally rare, the golden ones are obviously a lot rarer and costs more. If you disenchant a normal legendary you get 400 dust, if you disenchant a golden legendary you get 1600. Crafting a new, non golden legendary costs 1600. Considering that Illidan is a bad legendary, you just unpacked a ticket for a legendary of your choice.

Midrange Hunter worked somewhat well for me, but I got stuck at Rank 2 for almost 100 games, so I can't really recommend it to reach legend. Maybe if you find the right techs, I didn't though.

I suggest you to craft legendaries from the classic set, as they will never rotate out. Expecially for a newbie this is a pretty important aspect. The neutral legendaries that are considered most generally useful atm are probably Sylvanas and Ragnaros. Then it depends on the classes you want to play.
Grommash is a Warrior staple.
Antonidas is a mage staple, even if lately he has been forgoten (He's still strong as shit and bound to come back tough)
Tirion is a Paladin staple, considered one of the best minions in the game.
Jaraxxus is an extremely strong card for control warlock, but lately warlock has been mostly aggro.
Edwin is a Rogue staple.
Some other good legendaries are Leeroy, Harrison, Thalnos, Alexstraza, Ysera, Malygos, Deathwing, Cairne, Black knight, Geddon, Al'akir, Censarius.

I've played a bit of shadow era before I got my hearthstone beta invite.Hearthstone's definitely more polished in terms of looks,animations.
I also think Tavern Brawls and Adventures add a lot to Hearthstone.

No, not at all if you want to ladder with it.

Yes, if you can deal with a below 40% winrate and want to slap people with a 20/1 berserker. Start crying if you queue into priest since you have almost zero chance to win since your berserker gets sw:p/d, entombed, cabaled or sylvanas'd. And your Patrons get circled or excavated. And of course their shade pulls them from your deck too.

I feel zoo is still an honest deck. Nothing it has is too overpowered and it has some severe weaknesses to other meta decks, namely warrior, rogues and the occasional c'thun druid that pops it's head out.
