How did they lose their touch? KF1 was solid, it could have gone for a few little tweaks to fix it up but everything was fun and satisfying to play, it created tension. Even medic was pretty good, those SMGs and sturdy armour were really nice.
Now its just a hot mess especially in balance, a generic action movie type of style where enemies just run into your weapons and everything feels so much weaker/spongy.

Aside from them clearly having no clue what made the first game good (evidenced by the state of the game and them having to ask the fucking forums how KF1 FP's worked etc.) in my opinion one of the major problems with this game is sprint. It sounds small and silly but it fucks so many things up, zeds now have to be able to catch up to a sprinting player which means they're retard fast for anyone who's just walking, it makes perks with +move speed even better than they already were, it removes opportunities for skillful speedkills or setups and it means you can't prioritise zeds worth a fuck. The resistances update may not have been so bad (it's still a stupid idea, but this is for arguments sake) if we actually had time as players to pick our targets and do set ups but as it is everything on higher difficulties rushes you down in a matter of seconds meaning you don't get a choice of what to shoot a lot of the time.

Something else I wanted to add though: Rae could have been an awesome "Outback Frontierswoman" type character with a sweet hat decorated with crocodile teeth and other Aussie hunter gear. It would have been thematically consistent and fitting with the Sharpshooter perk as well.

I don't see what's fun about them. People doing drugs is a serious thing that needs to be dealt with the utmost care, not trivialize it. Same goes for the use of the word "Bit**" on our games, which is why we had to remove it from the players' lines when referring to Stalkers.

There wasn't actually a Published folder there so I just went and created that folder path manually.

Thanks for the help. Now that this crude practice has confirmed that I understand the process, I can try some better attempts in future.

Correction, there was nothing wrong with the Gwyndolin, it's just that for some reason KF2 decided as of the last update to change my texture quality setting to Medium. Put it back up to High now and everything looks like its supposed to.

I agree with this, there only needs to be three tiers. There's the weapons each perk starts with, weapons that you buy to hold you off until scrakes come, and then weapons that you'll use for the rest of the game.

In particular, Commando is the example I would point out. The SA80 and AK-12 are very similar in function, they're both used for clearing out trash, except the SA80 has more ammo and the AK-12 has more damage. The damage of the AK-12 isn't necessary though because the only reason you'd need damage is for Scrakes and Fleshpounds, and you'd be using a SCAR for that.

Well as someone who has used zerk since the game debuted back in april, I have concluded that Berserker is fine as is. Resistances really screwed over a lot of perks, heavily on firebug and zerker. Unfortunately the system is still in but TW dialed it back slightly so trash is manageable at its current state.

With that in mind, it solely depends on what you want when you go Berserker. If you go tank, you're practically unstoppable. Unfortunately you are slow and your melee swing is laughably slow.

If you go faster speed and faster melee and extra damage, zeds will people much die and expect to get 800+ kills on HOE. However you will die easily if you're careless.

I apologize for this being more on the general side but If anyone has questions, I'll do my best to answer them.

InD zerk was OP but if they just tuned him down and made vampire a more favorable option by giving +X% HP on hit or assist/kill instead of just on kill for a measly +4HP for every zed, maybe glass cannon zerk would be more viable.
But doing more damage at lower HP is a shit idea since the medic has to completely ignore you until you're almost dead, which is why no one picked those skills back in v1008.

It's balanced around the base damage, the extra bonuses from being low-health are just tacked on. For example take the current damage perks zerk has and tack on +no movement penalty at low, +mobility at low health, +% damage when at low health, to what the choices already have.
You wont always have maxed out health, during your skirmishes with the big zeds, you might drop pretty low and that extra damage could make the difference between winning the fight or dying like a bitch. Either way you'll still die to a fucking crawler or stalker, but at least you killed the scrake or fleshie that was talkin' shit.

The length of a custom song you choose shouldn't matter.
Normally, when you replace a vanilla track with a custom track, the game will just cut off what's too long.

For example, if a vanilla track X is 3:50, and your custom track Y is 4:50, the game will stop playing your custom track at 3:50 and it will move onto the next song.

Because the batch one is broken. You can convert them all at once by selecting them in the designer pane, then selecting adjusting the source settings to Vorbis High. With them all selected, hit Ctrl+C, and it will put them all in the proper Vorbis HQ .wem.

When they said the Demo rework would make it feel like a totally new perk, it still felt pretty bland and generic.
The skill trees were a nice idea "on paper" but it feels more like a false sense of choice between generic damage vs more ammo or generic damage vs tactical reload.
Everyone always takes the damage skills and the only reason they wouldn't is if TWI didn't program them to work at all or it doesn't make a significant difference like Tenacity for support.

You can easily kill crawlers now with your melee weapons just prepare for the knockback if you manage to run into 3+.

As far as guns goes, go either m14 one shots them and very handy to get the stun on SC, medic AR for kill and heal time or Nailgun if you're holding a hallway or choke point.

The comparisons to Payday 2 are a bit unfair, but nearly automatic - Payday 2 has exclusively listen servers and that makes playing with friends easier and safer from randoms. Also man, there sure are great maps on the workshop, I wish I could play them with my friends IF ONLY I COULD FIND A SERVER WITH THOSE MAPS.

So what are the odds that one day Tripwire tries to implement some ability system into the game like this? Hey I don't have an account for tripwires forums, but can someone please point out that people weren't having trouble with the stalker suddenly being hard to kill, but that they were only hard to kill with specific weapons for no discernible reason.
If they want stalkers to be more of a threat increase their fucking HP, don't reduce damage against them arbitrarily for certain classes. This is not the game for a gun to be anything other than a gun. They must deal damage when they hit an enemy or you lose what makes KF so good. The gunplay, and the feedback you get when firing your guns. The feeling of firing a double barrel into a stalker at point blank and having it stand there when a few stray rifle bullets would still down it was awful. That was the real problem.

I mean that's why the game has a gamemode filter, not just for Survival and VS.

A developer said she died in the Transit update but at Thrills'n'Chills she was alive. So, timeline don't go straight we can take it as that; but then another developer was like "who told you that?" when we said KF1 Trader is dead in forums.

I honestly feel the spawn rate needs to be re-adjusted. They screwed it up as I noticed on outpost zeds aren't swarming like they use to and they don't even spawn on the left side of roof anymore near trucks. Too many quiet moments if you ask me. TW reduced the head health of SC and FP so it should be reverted back and maybe give it more body health? I feel zeds need to sprint more and maybe give it that fast speed it had when the game debuted.

Here's a HOE of Hostile Grounds, wanted to hold streets so I can have some fun as zerk but team wanted to go subway. Never held that spot before...I honestly thought I was in the Wyre basement again...you know the spot.

There's no real roles, everyone can do things the way they want by what skills they've unlocked. It's rare that someone will specifically ask for someone with X specialization to do this or that, because everyone's build can be wildly different.

The only real role thing is with stealth, which is going to be hard for you to participate in until you unlock a suppressor for any gun with RNG drops (unless they've changed this in the past two years). If people want to try and stealth through something, you'll just have to sit outside while they do everything.
