Could someone explain how stumble/stun/knockback work? Each weapon does not only normal damage additional stumble/stun/knockback damage and when you reach a threshold then zed will get stunned and reset threshold? Will bash on "V" always stumble FP and stop him from raging?

Im also wondering if it is a good tactic to try and parry FP/Scrakes with default melee toothpick(as gunslinger for example)?

Minigun is a specific model of gatling gun, which shoots 7.62x51, like the M14 and SCAR, but at ten times the rate.
That high expectation can't be met with something balanced, something's got to give, which only leads to disappointment.

If you sacrifice the rate of fire too much, it shouldn't be a gatling gun at all, a regular LMG would better fit the resulting stats.
If you sacrifice the damage too much, it shouldn't be a 7.62x51 minigun.

But a smaller gatling gun could give balanced, unique gameplay, without any disappointing nerfs from what the appearance leads you to expect. A balanced DPS that lasts a good while couldn't be much higher than an AA12's DPS. To get that DPS with an awesome 6000rpm rate of fire, each shot would have to do notably less damage than the 9mm. This .22lr gatling gun would be a perfect match for such stats.

Holy fuck. Decided to check out sharpshooter. What took so long to add a class from the first game when there are only a handful of weapons for it? Also saw they added a cosmetic viewer. I'm utterly blown away by how much cosmetic shit there is now. So they truely spent their time adding that garbage instead of maps and weapons? Pathetic.

A 5.56 microgun going at its full potential would be OP, but the compromises needed to make it balanced wouldn't be too unreasonable or unrealistic. It could work.

Horzine could configure it with short barrels for the sake of being more reasonable for their mercenaries to carry, and that would take the damage per shot down, less than the SA80's.
And for their mercenaries shooting by hand using ammo they're carrying, horzine definitely wouldn't want the recoil and wasted ammo of 10000rpm. It would be reasonable for them to slow it down by a lot, so long as it's still well beyond what lighter, simpler, regular LMGs could do.

20 damage per shot at 2500rpm would give a DPS beneath the AA12's, making gameplay balance feasible, and those stats would fit a reasonable expectation of a horzine configured microgun.

How it works is:

Now, the part where the glowing attacks comes in is:

Your weapon has to have a higher Parry strength to be able to impart a Stumble incap to the zed (I guess this has become a separate 'Stumble' synonymous with Parry).

In short, you can't stumble them but you can still parry any melee attack. Knife reduction is like -30%.

If you parry an unparryable attack, the zed won't jolt back, but you do get the parry damage mitigation instead of the block damage mitigation, which for many weapons is a bit better.

By toothpick you mean knife? Spreadsheet says the block and parry damage mitigation is the same for that, x0.8 damage.

In any situation where you'd parry with a knife, it seems with the current mitigation, it's better to not bother, and run full speed away instead. Better to get hit by one hit of a combo attack and avoid the rest, than to parry one hit of a combo, and get hit by the rest.

Yep, you can still parry the attack.

As a forward reference, Gunslinger can decap FP now before getting hit.
The bash combo still works, but keep in mind that the first bash is only a flinch now due to resists, so you have to double bash if you want a stumble to get more breathing space. However, for what it's worth, you should just tank the first hit and then interrupt the rest of his combo (since most of its attacks are multi-hit strings). Fumbling with the knife will take too much time and space here, and the first hit usually doesn't do that much overall damage. The key is to master hitting some headshots during the rage anim.

To elaborate on making a habit out of parrying big targets, the goal should be to parry an attack while jumping, so you take less damage while getting boosted away from any further attacks. A lot of players just tend to run away without looking back and blocking, and just take it up the ass until the attrition catches up to them (which is a -lot- faster when they don't use all their tools of survival.)

So to put it short: when I know I will not take big guy down fast enough, I pull out a knife and try to parry an attack while jumping to give myself some breathing space. Otherwise I just unload everything I have on him utilizing his enrage animations.

That's probably either referring to the old incap system or the stumble cooldown itself (this has become significantly more lenient with Scrake's at 2.5s and FP at 5s).
The new thing is that they added 100 melee hit power to bashes, which nothing (bar bosses) resist so it always imparts. Melee hit power causes a flinch that pauses the zed for a brief duration, and has a cooldown that's nearly as short. This is what lets you flinch-lock zeds with melee.

Guys, I had an idea. Since devs are limited in number of zeds(thanks consoles) but want to make them more of a challenge (thus resistance failure happened) I came with a solution for that.

Cyborg-Zeds, which are champion variation of current trash zeds. They have a metalic body with a few randomized flesh limbs every time. They are highly resistant to fire and explosions in general, and if you shoot/stab into metal part of their body it goes *plink* and does pathetic damage. However if you shoot at exposed flesh parts, they die quickly. This way you will have tankier zed without them beeing a bulletsponge and additionally it'd spice up gameplay because you'd have to shoot something other than heads (heads can sometimes be metal, thus resistig damage). Thoughts?

Honestly, I feel like the boss health bar is fine, because it's the shadow of a larger problem: bosses in this game are so bullet-spongey, it feels like putting a hundred bullets into them barely does anything, so you need an easy reference that everyone can readily see about just how much HP the boss is losing at any given time.

If they remove boss health bar, they also need to make the bosses more like the Patty in KF1. Sure, a Commando can still provide information about his HP, but like I said, the bosses having so much HP is the real problem.

Because in KF1 everyone was just naturally strong and had good ammo, even zeds were swole, so damage was pretty damn nice on top of none of the resistance bullshit for bosses outside of pipe stacking. Now you've got everyone a lot weaker (went from 60% to 25%) including zeds general damage and everything feels more sponged and slower in comparison, despite the game being a lot more fast paced action.
Its a horrible blend especially on bosses unless you buy 3 of the same gun, they could at least fix this by making ammo boxes appear more frequently, I swear they only appear once every 5 minutes when you're stuck in a kiting session.

They are both kind of overpowered. Pick the weapon for whichever perk you think you will be playing more.

Personally, I'd say people have more fun on the long-term with Sharp, so the Musket would be the way to go there. However, the Musket does have its viable alternative: the LAR. On the other hand, Firebug is nearly powerless against large zeds without the flare guns, so their usefulness is a lot more noticeable in making a whole perk more relevant. Sharp is already relevant without the Musket.

This is a development that most people didn't foresee when EA started to become a thing, I suppose everyone assumed that it was just a way to play earlier than the masses, nobody realized the masses would all get the early access. That's where the problem lies.

If only 10% of a game's potential playerbase would get into EA, it would be a perfectly fine system. In reality, it's more like 60-70% or something.

Now we've had a few years to see those things happen, so we understand what's going on, but younger people will not, and the cycle will go on.

Flares seem like a better deal because Buzzsaw and Scythe (even tho' I think it's a sidegrade) pretty overpowered. Flares weapon pack have sweet things about slow-rage and FP damage rage threshold cancel also.
Musket is where it's at but it's like the only weapon that's useful in there. Dr.T's Thompson runs dry too fast, if you don't keep it for ZED time expanding. M.C.Z.Thrower is funny for kiting and combos.

Hard is easynow. Unless you're playing firebug or zerk (who need their perks most) you can jump in at level 0 if you know just the mistakes to avoid.
Sui is difficult for most perks until 10-15 depending on the perk.
Expect kicks if you don't perform really well if you're sub 20 and join hoe unless you play with friends.

I've just tested it, and I must say, he is right. Maybe they fucked up resistances, but right now 6man HoE Patty melts as fast as a Scrake or Fleshpound. It takes only ONE nuked C4 and ONE normal RPG shot just to finish it. Don't know why, but C4 does the most toxic damage from all Demo's weaponry (and have the smallest range). C4 will almost kill him, while RPG will leave him with 1/4 hp (full duration of the nuke). The downside? You need to keep him in the fart gas (which for C4 is really small) and you need zed time for this. The best thing to do is to stick some C4 on him and wait for him to summon zeds, that will give you some zed time. After that you just need to keep him in the fart gas for one or two seconds to finish him. Knockdown, stumble or just block his way and it's GG.

It was funny to watch it in game when he killed someone, activated zed time, taunting inside the nuke and dying in few seconds.

Did some more testing around skills. None of the perk skills will increase toxic damage, but there is one skill that will decrease it: Fragmentation Rounds. How to make medic shotgun fun:

Berserker skirmisher is incorrect.

Scrakes and Fleshpounds need a health buff, for the life of me I don't understand why you chose to keep the low head health when you got sharpshooter, gunslinger, support, berserker and demolitions dealing immense damage to them already. Suicidal is pretty much hard mode and hell on earth feels more like suicidal difficulty. Perhaps you can up the trash spawn rate now seeing as you're actually adjusting teleporting zeds.

Aside from the mocap (which is relatively lesser), the real reason is because of their own stipulation that necessitates a million animation frames due to zed time. When they told us this, I figured that arsenal additions would slow to a crawl. spend a while looking/thinking about the layout of maps as well, a LOT of mapmakers make maps that don't really work well in terms of the gameplay, they'll make a lot of dead-ends, redundant far-off areas, or just one really obvious camping spot that makes the rest of the map and the time they spent on it pointless

don't try to leap in right away with the intention of making some beautiful amazing map, spend a while just making a test map or two to get your knowledge on how to make basic shit running smoothly down, like pathing, doors, traders, weapon/item spawns, blocking volumes, all that kind of shit

I got some ideas, personally. Things like repeatedly shooting one area raises its resistance exponentially a la rapid C4 detonations. Also vulnerable areas will periodically switch around on the zed's body, advertising their presence with a bright red glow.

So your combos will become a cute game of simon says. First shoot the left arm, then the right foot, top corner of torso, aim carefully for the left eye shot and... right shoulder! You killed the scrake (but only with the MedAR, there's a different sequence if you want to use the SCAR or M14. Stay tuned!)

It's a move capable of oneshotting Survivors at full HP if done right, regardless of kevlar b/c it's fall damage. I've launched people 5-6 stories high, thrown people against walls and low ceilings at mach5 and instantly killing them from the sheer velocity at which they hit surfaces. It doesn't change the TTK for anything relevant. Looking at the numbers, they tweaked Scrake health so that skill lets you
1) Always bodyshot Scrake on Normal
2) Bodyshot a Scrake on HoE solo (perfect ratio here)
3) some mix of low player counts and/or lower difficulties

So in the case where you don't have a Scrake killer and your server's only half-full, it's not bad I guess.

A little fun kill I found with it so you can save a rocket in 6p is RPG + Magnum. As you can still incap and carry C4 to kill FP the same, it's potentially the most capable loadout.

Something else I just noticed was that Bloat just dies now after getting knocked down.

As far as sniping the Siren with the round not working, I looked into it just now. In trialing it, it wasn't working because the M79 arcs slightly upward, so it's actually missing the Siren's head at optimal encounter range, but it's still colliding on another mesh for the explosion, only granting you part of the damage you want. If you compensate for the arc at whatever range you can get the headshot. Though, again, any bodyshot will do the same.

I'm finishing a four year degree in Accounting and Commercial Law and Tax Law this year, but honestly, this fourth year has been the only one that's been fairly good.
The first one was almost absolute hell, the second started well and then went to hell, the third was almost alright but was rough towards the end.

Say what you want about finding a job, but I can't even remember the last time I genuinely enjoyed being at University and that saddens me.

That's odd, I got up to 2 hours in IL-2: CloD and still got a refund because it kept crashing. Then again, I did imply that a lot of that was spent in the menus looking for a way to fix it.
