EOU party had only two attackers as well, but they just hit so much harder in comparison to EO2U. By level 35-40 Highlander's delayed+cross charge hit for thousands of damage. Arthur was a beast vs elemental weak enemies as well.

If I remember correctly they work like normal force boosts. The fight isn't too difficult with a classic team anyways. It's a bit more tricky with story because fafnir's team is p bad and fafnir needs a little time to get going

I'm playing story mode, lvl 37. Killed all types of FOEs in third stratum once, and got the frenzied eye form the wolf. Don't really wanna level grind, so that's my party.
I triggered the boss once, just to get an idea what I'll be facing. And I must say I really hate the status attack spam the witch does, since my only means of status removal is a refresh grimoire.
I guess I should be focusing more on blocking those attacks from going through in the first place. Too bad she herself is very resistant to status attacks, so I won't be able to utilize Chloe's potential damage output, if I focus on bringing down the witch. And I really do wanna focus on her, because I can only spam Prevent Order for so long.

Yeah, that's the problem with faf's team. He doesn't have a good way to remove statuses, which can really fuck you up in a boss fight if you aren't careful. Meanwhile classic teams get medics who can literally refresh and unbind the whole team

I managed to do a 2 unit run with just a Fort and a Dancer until I started adding the NPCs. They're great early game.

Taunt early game. Respec for Line/Party guard mid game and later.

You can also mitigate damage by binding enemies (Arm bind reduces physical attack. Binding a body part will disable the skills that use that body part) and ailments such as Paralyze or Blind.

Yo, dropping in here to ask some questions if you guys don't mind.

I just started EO4 up again because I remember really liking it, but I kinda got stuck on some boss. Of course it's been ages since I played, so I hardly remember anything.

The boss I was stuck on was in the Echoing Library in the Cloudy stronghold, if I remember correctly. He's the boss that keeps swapping his resistances and weaknesses.

My party is level 53 at the moment, and it consists of a Fortress, Nightseeker and Dancer frontline with a Medic and Runemaster backline. If I remember correctly I mostly had problems killing him in time because almost all my damage is physical (most of my damage is from Nightseeker+Dancer) and the boss' pattern was sometimes a bit random.

Does anyone have general tips/a good way to make money (I've got a couple of things I could upgrade)?

You have subclassing unlocked. Use it. Also you should have one more damage class. Dancer doesn't really count.

Logre is extremely useful in this fight. Have your party setup be:
/NS/D/Logre
F/R/M
Have your dancer give out ATK buffs, NS spam ailments, don't use Logre's drive skills until the Golem changes affinity; then have your runemaster use the rune skill to make the weakness larger, and attack with Logres relevant drive.

As far as subclasses go, I'd say:
Fort/Dancer or Fort/Med for auto heals
NS/Bushi
Dancer/NS for dodging and multi-hits for stuns.
Rune/anything, you'll want to give them Imperial when you unlock them
Medic/Arcanist (although this combo is better the other way around)
