D.va is never a good main tank. She's always better with a secondary tank that teammates can early behind. She's more like a slightly slower armored tracer with less range. Flanking and such healing herself etc. Her defense matrix is useful but doesn't last very long, it's good for absorbing ults that rein 's shield can't handle, like Pharah. It's only good if you're with teammates, allowing them to pick off the char ulting. Picking D.va you should just get up in the enemies face. Charge into them and melee causing them to move back. Good for adapting, you don't have to kill them just push em back all the way to the final spawn then switch to something more useful. As much as I enjoy D.va and just getting large killsrreaks because you're off doing your own thing, you're better off choosing another tank that's more helpful to the team comp and scoring kills for yourself.

I made a slight adjustment. In terms of having a team that can work fine on any Attack/Defense map, I find this to be fairly accurate now, since I've been seeing a lot of Zarya lately and she's always a problem on the enemy team.

No one cares about one's K/D on D.Va because you can just randomly hit people for 2 HP from afar and have tons of eliminations. It's also pretty hard to die on her (the squishy Meka aside) unless you play bad.

What actually matters is if you contribute in some meaningful way. I don't pick D.Va except on attack when we also have a main tank. She's pretty good for harassing the backlines/snipers and being a distraction. But honestly, the better my opponents get, the less I even want to play D.Va as it is now.
