For the most part, I kind of feel rather weakly towards 3's NPCs (collectively I think they're my least favorite set in the series). Some of the characters have some very unsatisfying ends (Eygon, Orbeck, Sirris, dieing for no real reason, and why would I bother with Irina as a firekeeper?).

Grierat's quest is still interesting, and so is Sirris, though I do wish she didn't just drop dead at the end.

Sirris makes sense because if you refuse her, she goes hollow. Which means she knew she had no purpose left. If you accept her knighthood, she has a reason to exist just a little longer, until she feels she has helped AO fulfill his own duty then decides to end herself while she still can. If you don't, then the blow is probably too much for her so she goes to see the parry god again only to become undead then hollow somehow.

The GS of artorias got murdered
The shockwave stagger on the jump attack was in 2 and was almost immediate, allowing it to combo 2HR2 into jump.
It also had a reliable use for the spin since it couldn't be completely rolled at close range, making it a good wakeup tool for rollcatching.

In 3 the spin is worthless because 1 roll has so many bloated iframes it coves the whole active duration of the spin. The flip can't be comboed into and is even slower than it was in 2, despite 3 being mindless mashy BB action game speed, and can reliably be rollBS'd on reaction

This is the build/weapons I use. Started Pyro for the 14 FTH to use the Tinder since it's just a little weaker than the Court Catalyst but it's a fire halberd with good damage. You can also just use the MLGS and the Court staff offhand for spells. If you don't want to use the Tinder starting Sorcerer class save you a few points but I think the Tinder is the best Sorcerer weapon/catalyst.

18/18 will let you wield majority of the weapons if you twohand them and you want to infuse/buff them while also getting you max cast speed with the sage ring. +2 maxes out alone I think. I don't have the list but I think someone made one of weapons that get S scaling in INT when fully upgraded so you can also use those.

Sure thing. The only real big pain in the ass about that build is the darkmoon ring because of the ears. Some kind anon dropped it for me so it ended my suffering.
You could also go to SL125 and just take one point out of VIG and then go into ATT for 5 slots and the FP. So that would be 39 VIG and 30 ATT. It would also free up the darkmoon ring slot for the FAP+2 to make up for the low stamina.

I think DaS 3 is the hardest of the 3 for PVE. DaS had mostly easy mobs with a few rare BKs up to AL. Stone knights were optional, man serpents were slow, Silver Knights easy to parry. In comparison DaS 3 has a lot of supermobs that are fast and hit like a truck.

I disagree. Once you realise you need to be agressive, things become a lot easier: never would have thought I could stagger Lothric Knights so easily from just having watched the preview footage, but there you go. The only consideration is leaving enough stamina to get away. Besides that, the only real trouble comes from late-game enemies who start doing stupid damage, and the Pus of Man because they are impossible to predict and the hitbox is wonky as hell.

DaS 2 had some stronger enemies but nothing remarkable.
Lothric Knights are aggressive and in the late game the ones that get buffed have pretty much infinite stamina, I don't remember anything like that in DaS and DaS 2

What I actually quite liked about DS2 was that it didn't give you a 100 phys shield from the start, forcing you to learn to roll a lot early on. But the enemies seem to have a much bigger share of bullshit(tm) attacks. Particularly the ancient dragon. There's nothing hard about this fight other than the fire rain which is pretty much impossible to avoid unless you start running way early AND in the correct direction. FS should have just tossed all ranged weapons out and balanced the games accordingly
