I think the problem is that our thread has no "authority" on anything. You can go to Vita or PS4 gen and they'll tell you everything about a new upcoming release, whether it's worth buying or not, post screenshots and all kinds of stuff.

We don't even do the latter anymore, even when Twilight Princess HD was released there was no urge to post about it, it took months later with Gor randomly posting his playthrough that any discussion came from it's release (Keep up the great work with that btw Gor)

I enjoy having a catch-all thread for Nintendo but all those obsessive threads based on a singular game, yet still have the same small group of people posting in them, really do hurt the practicality of /nintyg/. I could see Federation Force having a niche following on /nintyg/ though since I doubt the interest is there for an entire thread, and we were pretty good about Triforce Heroes games. Till this day I think that's the only game we ever collectively played as a group.

Just a stupid question here. You know how you can create folders on your 3DS main menu. I separate my games in two folders, one for 3DS downloadable games and another for the Virtual Console games. But every now and then I turn my 3DS on and notice that almost all the games were removed from the folders and placed on the home menu itself.

Anyone else had this problem and knows what could be causing it?

Ganon has already been represented as an other-worldly apparition before. In Hyrule Warriors he starts out as just black smoke, having already been sealed. When he regains his physical form he still has the "Ganon" spirit coming out of him. It seems BotW took a cue from HW and made that spirit what happens when he gets sealed.

It's redundant because Ganondorf and Ganon are literally the same person. Ganondorf was permanently transformed into the beast known as Ganon when he entered the sacred realm and claimed the Triforce.

In Ocarina, Ganon is only a temporary transformation because he never gains the completed Triforce. That's why In Twilight Princess and Wind Waker he's still human.

While Ocarina of Time ended up differently from what ALTTP described, the intent by the developers was always to link it to that game, and it DOES share a lot of the same elements, and Ganondorf turns into Ganon at the end (albeit temporarily).

Whether you like Historia or not is completely irrelevant, the entire point is that they've been operating under the idea of a timeline and continuity since ALTTP/OoT. In 2003, Miyamoto straight up says they have an internal document detailing how the games link together.

You just have to some suspension of disbelief when you play these games, some of the things that seem obvious but didn't happen are for gameplay reasons.

The idea of Ganondorf as a transformed ruler of that specific era in Hyrule rulership was born, but that doesn't mean the creature/entity of Ganon has to share the same fate when the name itself is only an apparatus to Dorf. It also specifies "crossing time and space" and oddly mentions" born AT THIS TIME" which I suppose can be just written off as medievalist scroll talk, but the entire "decline of hero" timeline is based on a theoretical non-game related approach anyhow.

No seriously, the idea that a "Game Over" is an actual timeline split is really, really dumb. We don't know anything about Dorf's past, why exactly does only he receive this outlandishly jarring mutation, and the reasoning for his peculiar evil thirst. It's not even just a freakish body modification, he blatantly turns into a different character for little reason more than drunk on Power.™ And I'm to believe that OoT is the "origin story?" Is Dorf the vessel for Ganon or vice versa? Are they both the harbinger of Demise's curse? Can Dorf even be born as anything other than a villain by virtue of Wind Waker being the not-destined-but-still-able hero (and possibly usurp a villain by naturally gaining a thirst for power outside of his destiny?)

An entire split exist based on not even an on-screen illustration, but i'm to believe the interpretation of both entities origin is redundant because of a preemptive SNES story+manual that even you admit is flawed due to the glaring differences between the actual N64 portrayal? Why do you cling to stupid shit that's the textbook definition of "death to the author?" You follow the rules of a story that's not even properly portrayed in it's own portrayal

The only thing apparently bad about NES Kid Icarus is that for whatever reason the stat system is hidden for the player (and you obviously won't know the stipulations for increasing said stats until you've played the game a couple times, or read a guide) and the ending sequence requires you to kill an arbitrary number or 50 enemies otherwise the cycle repeats itself, and the game doesn't actually convey anything about this.

Otherwise the combat itself is enjoyable, relatively challenging without too many obnoxious enemy patterns, and you're rewarded within the game for actually getting good at killing multiple enemies you encounter, which is a a rare treat for games of that era. The transition between ascending platform gameplay, dungeon crawling, unique boss battles, and a final cinematic with shoot'em'up level design gave the game a very ambitious, dynamic feeling.

You can kinda tell why the game didn't really take off, but I'd still consider it a classic among the '80s era NES titles all running on the same Zelda-like engine, and in any case I think this game is one of the few examples that had a coherent map to go with the heavy exploration bits.

How do you go from one micro sd card to another micro sd card on an n3ds without losing what you've got stored on it?
I connected my 3ds to my computer wirelessly and simply started to copy over everything from "Nintendo 3DS" folder onto my PC. But there were files that apparently couldn't be copied over in this way.
