It's still there, but there are unlimited use labor pots available for gold from other players and the regen rare is way up.

For gold doesn't inspire confidence. A lot of things in a lot of games come from the cash shop and can be for gold, but Gw2, EVE, WoW and a myriad of others have shown me you're gonna be paying a pretty penny.

So aside from what's likely a small buff in rate, nothing really changed for people who don't invest massive amounts of time or money.
