Torb exists to inspect ass. Everything about him is designed to make inspecting ass more efficient.

His primary use is to slap down a turret and let it do the heavy lifting, leaving him to stare at the well-crafted bubblebutts of the cast.

Only if Pharah sees the turret before it starts shooting her (which is why you need to keep changing the spot). With 200 health she drops like a fly when the turret starts chewing on her.

People need to understand that Torbs main gun does 70 damage with no damage drop over range.

He's literally a better Mccree + a shotgun that can do 150 dmg at close range.

You're supposed to drop his turret where it won't die right away and then forget about it. When shit's going down, you go super saiyan and go to town on their asses because you shit out so much damage, somewhere around 200-300 dps which is above most heroes. You'll solo a healing roadhog easily with a few good shotguns and rape widows at range no prob

So why aren't you spending time with your dad today, /owg/? Why are you here arguing about which videogame character has the tastiest anus rather than having a beer with your dad and listening to his stories?

But it can also easily be placed in spots where it can not be shot from afar and it clearly prioritizes targets that are close, forcing Pharah to be the closest. And if you don't move the turret every now and then, it's much easier to counter. There's plenty of downtime to move it between attacks (unless the enemies keep running at you one by one), you don't need it shooting at someone 100% of the time.

As for the range, test it yourself on the training ground to see how far it is.
Each of your sound particles do 16 damage. Meaning; a burst of four of them does 64. And they don't have a damage fall-off penalty from range.

There is just way too many safe flanking routes in that map. Either the attackers decimate the defenders from two directions or the fighting becomes 6 instances of 1v1, which nearly always favors the attackers because of the closer spawns at most points of the map. The only way to not reach the last checkpoint is to be completely blind to defenders flanking you.

On second, hold in the server room just outside where the attackers spawn later. You can be safe and have freedom to attack the cart. You can also hold upstairs and just shit on them with height advantage, the flanks to that area are very limited.

On third, the key is not getting rolled just out of the second cap. The choke right when the cart first goes under the shuttle is easy to wipe them off of once, and if you manage that, controlling the top of the shuttle gives you high ground compared to the cart, a perch with spots on every entrance angle from enemy spawn, and like four other holdable areas.

It's not even like Hollywood or R66 where the best hold strategies are only really good when your entire team is coordinated and does it with you. You can be completely half-assed and still have teams hold this shit for a few pushes consistently unless you're in gutter MMR and nobody knows the map.
