Courser's superiority over other synths seems to be mainly due to their training program and inherent personality traits from what Dr. Ayo says, it's mentioned they get experimental upgrades before they're installed in the main G3 population, but it's minor shit like slightly improved eyesight, my understanding is there isn't much physically different between the Coursers and a standard G3 other than training.

Glory is able to take on multiple Coursers according to Railroad dialogue, and there's no mention of her being a Courser herself prior to liberation so it seems like normal G3's and Coursers don't have many differences in terms of combat potential, it's the just the difference in attitude, like a fight between a meek and frightened slave and a confident and highly aggressive special forces soldier.

ive been playing this game only while being on drugs. i have around 450 hours on my character and havent even been to glowing sea yet. i only grind the radiant quests and build settlements, currently lvl 104. i would literally give head for the fucking season pass.

Don't panic, I'm an experienced Brotherhood soldier and I know exactly what to do in this sort of crisis; just continue to pretend the gun's still there so the pilot won't report you to Cpt Kells, try to make convincing minigun noises if the pilot shouts that you're taking fire from the ground.

Once you're back on the Prydwen, distract the pilot, then blame the weapon's loss on some scribe scrub.

I really, really hope the settlement conquest they mentioned extends to the main commonwealth, but I know it almost certainly won't.

What would be amazing is if it gave you the option of siding with the raiders rather than Preston, then instead of undeveloped settlements, the commonwealth is populated with developed ones for you to conquer for whoever runs Nuka World.

Because settlement building is fucking boring and I prefer to destroy rather than create.

Remove all defenses from the settlements to expose them to constant attacks, and send most of the settlers to bad settlements in the dangerous South of the map.

You can't kill Sturges or the Longs but no weapons and no defenses will make Sanctuary a hell.

You can keep Hangman Alley as your base with you, Dogmeat, Beer Buddy,and a few settler girls in underwear.

The loose mod for Zao's Sword is called Wavelength Barrel (like that for the Wazer Rifle), but it should be called "People's Blade".
The Sentinel's Plasmacaster modification for the Gatling laser doesn't use the plasma crit effect or impact data set, and so it still functions like a regular Gatling Laser, and in particular doesn't ever yield Nuclear Material like plasma (infused) weapons do.

It was intentional, you don't need 30 or 50 different guns to be Runny Gunny.
You get the 10mm pistols that you can mod for 20% more power BEFORE you leave Sanctuary.
You get pipe weapons you can mod fof more power and range in Concord and the high powered crank laser.

It works until you get over powered and start getting Legendary drops that break the game.

If you finished with the Bos you saw them genocide the RR and then the Institute.

My opinion: take design cures from Bioshock 1 and 2. Both had excellent environmental work, in terms of making places that felt believable and were not a chore to traverse.

Depending on what you're doing, use the "office building" (ala Arcjet or Ticonderoga) tilesets for interior spaces, with the Vault tilesets for connecting tunnels. Have the player travel to/from each area (which should have a specific use, ie hydroponics, residential dorms, shopping mall, industrial, etc) via the monorail (ie just clicking on it, not necessarily needing it to move). This may seem really lame but having each area be different will make it more interesting.

Most importantly: make sure every room has two entrances/exits. That will make basic navigation much easier, and keep the player on their toes (depending on the amount of enimies).

The surface can be accessible by elevator, and should be mostly empty/devoid of life except for robots or people in spacesuits/hazmat suits.

That's almost right. The modder still has to include a leveled list for their items. The bashed patch lets you use multiple mods that alter the same leveled lists, instead of just getting the list changes from the last mod in your load order.

You don't need to carry 12 guns and their ammo when you can do perfectly well with three or four.
The game was designed for pistols and rifles, not miniguns.

The only other differences in previous games were what models they used. Cosmetics.

I play on the xbone, and I've got a bug where my pipboy is totally invisible when I'm not in power armor. Anyone know a fix for that besides loading a previous save?

Guns are for flavor. 95% are not efficient or tactially responsible. They're just for variety. You only really ever need a Overseer's Guardian and maybe 1 other just in case you run out of ammo. For the entire game. It's not so much that everything else is useless. They are fun toys. But they're absolutely unnecessary.

Point being, guns are really unbalanced. Legendary mods didn't help that.

OG has enough semi-auto firepower to take out a Mirelurk Queen in 10 rapid shots, can snipe from halfway across the map with no wobble, doesn't inhale ammo like a full auto, is so easy to get that it's silly. .... Never liked the design of those. The massive glass canopy just looks stupid and the whole thing is far too big, it'd be even more limited by terrain than a tank, it's combining all the worst parts of both infantry and armour, rather than all the best like power armour should.

Plus it just looks goofy in a movie that otherwise had great, realistic visual design.

the .45 with Two-Shot (Overseer's Guardian) will outperform every other weapon with Two-Shot in DPS. I've tried. The only weapons that pull ahead in DPS are full-auto with Explosive. And again, those destroy your ammo stockpile too fast to be realistic as a primary weapon unless you're playing on low difficulties with all Scrounger ranks. Even then, there's just not enough ammo around.

Yes it can. It can hold a long scope steady at the max range enemies are visible. That is sniping. It is comparable to the Hunting Rifle, with the bonus that it fires 5x faster in exchange for slightly less damage.

If you're primary weapon is full auto, absolutely. If you play a full-auto build, you have to rotate 3 or more weapons constantly to sustain it unless you're purposefully using scopes and going for headshots. At which point, why are you using full-auto weapons made for close and dirty work? The damage penalty on single shots makes that idea retarded.

I've been building landing pads at every settlement I have thanks to that personal vertibird mod. Allows for a safe landing at the settlements. Wish building and crewing the vertibird was more involved though, like going to a crashed vertibird to "recover" it, finding a pilot.

Instigating is good on pretty much nothing but a .50 Sniper Rifle, a Laser Musket, or a Gauss Rifle. And at any rate, past maybe level 50, even those won't be able to one-shot enemies on the higher difficulties, so after the first shot you are left with a bog-standard weapon.
Two shot works great on all sorts of weapons, and those like the OG are great in all situations. In full auto the damage penalty is negated, and in semi-auto most receivers are close enough to the base damage that you still get a good boost.
