I quit SF4 for almost two years, came back and got to 3k pp in literally days on PC and I was trash at the game.

Also, the vast majority of the time forward dash was a viable way of movement in SF4 was at full screen or post knockdown aka not in footsies. Very few characters (like rose) could threaten dash up throw in footsies and even then it was only on certain match ups and in certain situations.

That's interesting, I've never spoken to a Gears fan that liked the second game outside of introducing Horde mode, everybody always complained about that game from grenade mechanics, physics changes, bullet resistance slowing down momentum, chainsaw priority, I always heard people whining about something.

I just think the original Gears of War is cool because fans ascended the game to a whole new level, it's suppose to be a cover shooter but instead they turned the game into fast paced high level shotgun rodeo.

There were no gimmicks or trickery to get around it, unless you had host advantage then whoever was better at that was the better player.

Well I mean there's a reason for all of that. Even with the advanced cancel, Kim's is still kinda shittier than other advanced cancels because his ranbus do dick for damage until the last hit, which you cannot advanced cancel. Going into MAX mode doesn't seem super beneficial to him right now, maybe people will find some stuff for him to do but right now advanced cancel is like really solid damage for the meter conversion.

I wouldn't say only he benefits from it, but rather it shapes how Kim gets damage more than other characters.
