If this sounds weird I apologise, but basically I think that while Ryoma is easier to use, I think that Xander when used optimally is better.

The mobility and utility Xander offers do come into play in a lot of Rev maps is the main thing. Ryoma has the best offense, that much is indisputable, but when Xander's offense is still crazy good and he has mobility and defense on Ryoma to boot you have a situation where Xander has a lot of shit he does that Ryoma can't necessarily.

Ryoma's still insanely good mind you, but I do think he's not higher than Xander. I don't think he's higher than Camilla either but that's another debate entirely.

That's just the issue, though. It isn't as bad as Conquest. In fact, technically speaking, it's very easy. But it's also extremely tedious and more of a chore to play than a game. I can't stop you from playing it, but you can stop yourself. Do the other paths, do some DLC, play another game, do anything but waste your precious life on the painfully dull shitshow that is Revelation.

He can't do anything back to his foes if they are wielding Kodachis/Javelins/Shurikens/Bows for Mozu if Archer/Tomes for either Felicia or Jacob if Strategist. Unlike his other incarnations who at least have an Iron Mace in Birthright and Silver Katti/Steel Nagiyari/Steel Mace in Conquest to ward off ranged foes. All he has is nicer stats than his birthright version, but he's easier than the rest of his tribe due to the fact that they can move while he can't. He's a prime EXP pinata for your weaker characters who need the weapon/exp for levels.

Guys, I think I like spears and lances way too much.
I have three separate saves that are nothing but lvl 10 Corrin on various early levels of Conquest. Sometimes I just load them up to watch Corrin do awesome unmounted Lance/naginata moves as a Spear Fighter or Basara/Sentinel if I'm bored. I also have one for Great Master Corrin. It's already fucked because I promoted him at lvl 10 just so I could watch the animations so whatever.
Not one for Merchant though. Fuck everything about Merchant.
I think I'm going to make saves like that for Awakening to. Why are spears so great?

You don't get any EXP if you miss, however he will last a little longer and possibly get a throne heal for the next turn so that you can continue to hit him. Once you are done grinding up your units on him, just use any strong unit and Corrin/Kamui in attack stance to finish him off.

There's no point trying to even level up everyone, you'll just suffer that way. You need to pick out your best units from the chuttle early on before you spread experience too thin. Besides, Felicia, Jacob and Gunter are made for it.

And it's not like you want to have every unit paired up, but having a powerful whole team is too risky to try and manage. It's better to have 2 or 3 units who are just dedicated pair ups or carts.
