90% of the people I play with are 50 levels higher then him, how the FUCK did I get matched with this same level 12 multiple times while he was marked as avoid?

Honestly, this is going to be a rant, so if you don't feel like reading about how I feel about Hanzo's haters, then stop reading now. I'm sick of people telling me I'm stupid, bad, or unskilled just because I pick Hanzo. I have 28 hours with him and enjoy him quite a bit, he's my favorite hero and in my opinion is quite useful. First of all, why can I not pick the hero that I want to play and enjoy? It's my choice. To back that up, it is Quick Play, not competitive, so to all those people who take it seriously and will flame anyone doing badly, having fun, or, in this case, playing a hero you do not particularly like yourself, calm yourself. Today, I had someone tell me Hanzo is trash and that I may as well quit the game. HANZO IS NOT TRASH. His sonic arrow is quite useful and his bow can do quite a bit of damage, not to mention he has massive dragon with instakill. I'm not saying anything should be done, but people, please stop hating on others because they play a hero THEY like, I'm not the only one being harassed because I play Hanzo, and your rude comments and such will not stop me from playing him, so stop wasting your energy and time telling me that he is a bad hero, thanks.

Healing is way better than teleports. Teleports only good when you're dead and heals and revives can stop you from dying.

there is hidden mmr, only difference in ranked will be it's visible

also their matchmaking algorithm in ranked might prioritize forming even matches over queue time so that might improve it somewhat but not that much. makes sense that quick play according to its name tries to just get you in a game quickly while team balance is more important in ranked

in dota 2 the normal matchmaking finds games faster because it cares less about balance. ranked queues are longer.

I feel bad for Battleborn lads, I really do. There was quite a bit of hype surrounding it but they had to launch at the same time as Overwatch and got completely blown out of the water. I just checked and Overwatch had around 42k viewers on twitch whereas Battleborn had like 230 or something. It's such a waste of a probably good game, years of work down the drain because these corporate fuckwits can't time their launches.

Looking at the people who were streaming Battleborn made me feel sad for them, top guy had the stream titled "let's make this community great again!" with like 180 viewers.

If you aren't using it outside of a fight for movement, you are using it to put distance between a threat and yourself. Best way to do it is to hit yourself and the enemy with it at the same time.

If you're anything like other Hanzo players it's because that's the only character you pick no matter what, regardless of the needs of the team. The team could need a tank and support and already have a Hanzo and a Widowmaker and you'd STILL pick fucking Hanzo. Just because it isn't ranked doesn't mean people have fun losing because the other douchebags on their team pick characters that guarantee a loss. Learn team balance and pick what the team needs. There's not much to learn being the menu tells you what's lacking or if you have too much of something. You shouldn't need to make other people not have fun for you to have fun. Learn some other characters and pick Hanzo whenever he's needed but for god's sake if your team needs something else fucking pick something else. You don't have a right to complain, you're definitely the asshole in this situation.

Pharah is completely fine, I'd say even above average

You have to practice hitting her rockets at all ranges and angles but it's not too hard, eventually you get to the point where you do constant damage to whoever you want

The thing that pushes Pharah over the top is she's easily the most mobile of any offense hero, you can move fast vertically and horizontally, fly around the map all other classes can't get to, and be where you want when you want. Knowing how to move around quickly and fire on unsuspecting targets or knowing when it's okay to divebomb a group and then escape really fast sets apart good Pharahs from the ones who just jump up in the air and die because she's now the only target the enemy can see.
