Holy shit, higher levels of play really show how fucking good zarya is. not shooting her sheild means she has like 4 seconds of straight damage on you, and if your team is retarded they just feed her. Even with reaper, who i use to fucking murder tanks quickly, cant survive her bullshit.

If you want to play Mei effectively play her like a flanker or team fighter. She's good at 1v1s and can stop enemy retreats with her Ice wall. If you played SC2 you can use her shield like sentry force fields where you split off 1-2 enemies for your team to kill and stop their retreat. Also keep an eye out for high noon and put a wall in his face.

Zarya is the only one that should make Bastion even remotely nervous and, again, if you have a healer to give you breathing room and/or other teammates to focus on her with you as soon as her shield goes down she has jack shit on you

bruh like use your eyes. there was a torb, a bastion, and a hanzo making sure no one got next to the payload with death raining on them. My whole team was on their way to the objective. The best course of action I decided to take was to get behind them all and ult since it would be up in no time. Of course they couldn't hit me though; I slingshot through the air then deflected when I landed. It's not the best ingame example but I had one game on Attack Side for Watchpoint. It has a weird way of attaching to the enemy's hitbox. If your opponent is running towards you, he will land behind you.
That's also the reason it can go through walls. I have a theory it has something to do with their "favour the shooter" philosophy but I'm not sure. I never researched it.
