DaS1 katanas were the equivalent of DaS3 straight swords and rapiers. They were very fast and good for R1 spamming, while having minimal recovery. Combined with the Washing Pole's speed, it makes the perfect weapon to slap a buff onto.

Also, dark magic was the strongest it's ever been.

As the average invader I love duel charms because I can tell people to take their buffs and shove it, and force ganksquads to waste time and precious ashen flasks on their crutches, as well as making honorfags shove it.

I can see how they wouldn't make much of a difference to the typical Pontiff duelist, since the whole FC will just gank you if you try to deny some tumblebuffer their crutch

It's a competitive game with a ton of depth in the mechanics and, amazingly enough, it's ACTUALLY ***BALANCED***! in Das2, would it be worth infusing my Heide Knight Sword with Lightning if already deal lightning damage inherently? Doing so does seem to, in fact, make deal stronger lightning damage but lowers its physical scaling. My Faith is much higher than my str/dex so it seems like it might be a good idea.
