You can still transfer saves.
The last character you loaded on a save will be corrupted during the transfer, so trying to Continue or to load that character will fail. All you really have to do to successfully transfer your other characters is either pick a sacrificial lamb to get corrupted or make a new character.

Damn, you guys were right. Loving this shit, actually feels like how invasions are SUPPOSED to be. How I was always told they were like. So much fun. I'll be trying out all of the different SL's for invading (30, 40, etc) up to 80 while making backup saves along the way, will interesting to find out when things start getting really cancerous but at least I know I can always depend on SL20-30 for fun times.
