Why do NVSE and the 4GB Patch require legit copy?
I'm pretty sure i used NVSE some time ago on a pirated copy and had no problem...
Is it just a way to incite players to buy legit copies or is there more to it?

AFAIK it only requires that your game is the same version as the latest release.

I would think so, but at this point NV is so cheap why not get it ? It's like $5 on sale.

Just tried it, apparently NVSE doesn't care if it's legit or not but the 4GB Patch wants an unmodified executable.

Use another patcher. NTCore has one I used when I played NV. Search for it
