If you're character is hollow, you get a +5 luck bonus when the weapon is fully upgraded. Thus why people stop at 30 or 35 Luck.

It's generally not worth it though, as Refined with Quality stats does more damage than even Hollow with Quality + Luck for a lot of weapons.

Like, in DS1 they established that some people get cursed by the darkling and become undead, and then travel to Lordran from their perspective homes to ring the bells of awakening, and that's all well in good
In DS3 though, they never tell you what an unkindled actually is other than "a vessel for souls", and it seems to be implied that unkindled are woken by the bell of awakening near Firelink, which would seem to imply that the only people who come back to life are people in the big graveyard in the start of the game, but then that doesn't explain how or why someone like Seigmeyer acts the way he does as an unkindled when he has all his Catarina shit and talks about your duties, even though he doesn't actually want to link the fire and just wants to put Yhorm out of his misery for some reason
This is all to say that DS3 is irritatingly obtuse with regards to some lore and honestly it's probably not even worth spending time thinking about

I'm very happy about the Warmth buff. It is honestly better than we could have hoped for, but what sucks is it is just way too out of the way for anyone. 25 FTH is a heavy investment unless you are a Miracle Caster or Pyromancer (maybe a Morne's GH build..), but then they are all still very strapped for the 2 attunement slots.


In DS2, you could practically just attach it to any build. It had no stat requirements and only took 1 attunement slot, which barely gimped you. There were more points to go around when figuring out a build since the 'SL metas' were all higher than DS3's. I guess maybe this whole paragraph is bullshit because of Soul Memory, I just really miss how comfy Iron Keep FC's were when everybody used it due to reds not being able to Estus.

If everyone had it in DS3 FC's, everyone could just allot all of their flask charges to Ashen.
