Seeing a lot of people saying "With Silla/Luka pen nerf Hiro is garbage tier bigball pls" so decided to just do a spotlight on Hiro to showcase some of his strengths.

Pros:

-Highest crit ceiling in the game; 60% from passive, can equip WoM and three other crit stones

-High pass receiving synergizes with dual-passer frontlines

-Higher-than-average HP for a striker

-Massive 140% attack power on active

Cons:

-Active costs 1.5 bars of spirit

-No built-in penetration

-Lack of built-in utility

-Nerua

Stones:

His best unique in late-game is inarguably WoM due to its stacking crit and action bar recovery to help him shoot more often. However, he can also equip Glabaris for penetration or SHoT for a mix of crit and crit damage. His stones allow pretty much any mixture of pen or crit depending on which you need more. My stones for reference (omg crit stone only at +14 newb plx).

Team:

As a OHKO-style striker Hiro's team composition doesn't matter much as long as it can get him the ball, though his built-in pass receiving and crit damage means he does best with dual-passer and/or crit totems in front if he needs them to reliably crit.

Overview:

While it's true Hiro does suffer from lack of penetration more than, say, Sharr, it's untrue that he is garbage tier just because Silla and Luka lost a bit of their penetration. With WoM he will pretty much always crit except against the highest crit resistance, and with WoM plus a single thunder pen stone he recovers a massive amount of action bar with each shoot giving him the utility his kit lacks. His lack of penetration for the most part doesn't make a huge difference except when against Nerua, who has lost popularity in favor of Magnus but is still somewhat common.

Meiran isn't very strong, so yeah I just rely on people suiciding on to meta, it happens far more often than khirel penetrating through. These days a lot of people do 5 person backlines and focus everything on defense/reflex so it's really common to have people just suicide on to meta and even princess meiran sometimes because of her TW.

I suppose the biggest problem is leader AI, I see princess meiran at 300 HP trying to pen 1000+ HP beths all the time

I ran your team against this silk team with a ravian striker and it was a disaster.

Yes, I'm planning on something like Magnus/Kiki/Silk/Virgil and Jin GK for Sharrs, but for every other striker I think BT will work fine with that backline since Jin and Kiki provide hp and are good stealers, khirel will take the ball to my front, and of course, virgil is a beast for now at least.
