Has anybody tested Twisted Wall of Light since the patch? It felt woefully underpowered before. I'm hoping maybe they made it more worthwhile.

For reference, unless they changed it, you cast the spell and it creates a huge spell parrying distortion for a moment. I'm hoping it does repeated deflections or lingers or something.

Anything that saves to the character will get you a warning, if you do not restore a from a backup without the "invalid data" then you get banned shortly after.

If you dupe the character and then make the changes nothing happens because it's an entirely new character for the game and servers.

As it stands now, Spell Parry is 1000% better because of all the requirements and costs you're paying for Twisted Wall. Like, all you get is a BIGGER spell parry effect at the cost of attunement, fp and cast time. It's dumb as fuck.

Twisted Wall should be really good. not crazy good, but solid as fuck. I'd accept the current state of affairs if it costed like 5 FP or something.

I just ran some really basic tests against the spellcaster mangrub at the Cathedral of the Deep.

Twisted Wall's effect lasts for a pretty generous amount of time and starts up almost immediately. I might have misjudged it in the past

I'm gonna run it for awhile pvping at Anor Londo/Pontiff and see how I feel about it in the long term.

Oh I knew about the attacks being faster with that but it's still a surprise the Japs used it. Wouldn't it be more efficient to use a Gargoyle Flame Spear or Dragonslayer Spear with that set-up though for the range? I mean I don't Greatshield turtle myself because it's boring to me but the slight AR boost the Greatlance has wouldn't be worth it for such a playstyle over outranging opponents with Greatshield pokes.

As someone who tried to use the Greatlance I can say if anything its regular hitbox is the worst hitbox in the game by far. Trying to use it as a regular weapon, I semi-commonly miss people with basic R1s right in front of me by the lance just edging to the right of their leg without any additional input from me. Even considering latency it's ridiculous, though when I do get hits I don't notice any 'sweetspots' to counter hits. Though again, even if you are Greatshield turtling you might as well just use an Estoc (beforehand at least) since it's faster and will do comparable if not better AR, the Greatlance has pathetic damage even when getting counter hits considering the effort it takes.

New Londo's primary challenge is dealing with a million fucking ghost enemies at a time that take a consumable or a cursed weapon to even touch
Then Four Kings is the second worst boss in the game

Kiln is cool visually and atmospherically but it's just a straight walk to the boss with a couple black knights strewn about

SL120 here, wanna do a Chaos Blade build. Since it scales so good I'd rather put the minimum 16 points in STR and rest to DEX right? like 68-70 points of DEX is what I can end up in the best scenario.

As shit as most casting is in DaS3 still, fighting a mage who does nothing but roll and run away to cast as a Great Weapon user is the most awful thing to fight against. There's literally nothing you can do unless they cast while you're right up in their face. Same problem with Whip/Bow users as well, it's why you always have to have a Straight Sword or something to switch too when using a great weapon.

The WA might very well be overpowered but it's on a weapon that is still decidedly low-tier so I think it evens out.

The fact that the claw WA now combos into L1->L1 while being a reliable headshot, and instableeds if rouged is really, really crazy. The rest of the claw's damage and moveset is still sub-par, though so it's really just a hyperarmor fishing gimmick.

60 DEX or 55/52 plus DEX rings. Put 40 into END, and put the rest in VIG. Despite the simple infusion nerf, you really don't need any attunement because you can just pack a couple blue juice with you, and if you're spamming the weapon art that many times then there's a problem with the way you're playing. Chaos Blade has huge bleed damage if it procs, but it's pretty much never going to happen since you can't carthus rouge it. If you want to try to get the bleed off though, then take off points from END/VIG and get 35 Luck with a hollow infused offhand for that bleed proc increase.

DaS3 has the same bug as Bloodborne.
Frequently, damage will ignore the first few iframes of a roll. It's an action-queuing issue. You've already taken damage, but the game lets you begin your roll before recognizing that fact, and then applies the damage regardless of your iframe status. In the backend, your client confirmed the hit before you rolled.


Neither of the previous souls games had that issue, which means it's likely tied to the updated engine they develop their next gen games on.

I'm not sure if you are doing PvP or invasions since invasions I usually tend towards crystal soul spear for max damage on one hit even though it's actually kinda bad for the amount of FP it uses. You probably would want Great Farron Dart instead of a soul arrow type spell if it is PvP duels since those are easier to hit with.

Crystal soul mass is also pretty FP hungry too and more often than not it'll probably miss but it is a good tool to give yourself some space and have to make them roll letting you try to roll catch but regular homing soul mass will do the same trick.

It's less FP than what you have now or were planning to have but these spells don't use up too much FP and you can always carry more Ashtus. I hate dying in 2 hits but you can move some of the VIG around if you think it's too much.

I also got it up to 60 INT and a little less endurance but you could swap the sage ring into a FAP+2 if you feel like you need the extra stamina. 18 dex should let you wield most dex weapons except maybe the dragonslayer spear but I don't think you can buff that anyway

No it's not. Glitch is removed, you have to do it by skill. You do 120 damage with a +3 Raw ASS, shouldn't take long. Just pump a lot of vit and get the flynn's ring before the fight. You also get 4 human pines, infinite fire pines for further buffing. Not hard, just tedious
