Compared to the real kids, only Sharlow/Laylea and Amid/Linda can compare to the real deal. Hawke himself is good, but Ced's usually better. Most are downgrades, with Roddlebahn/Radnay being the worst set overall.

Amid/Linda's main claim to fame is being helpful for ranked runs. No need to worry about TIltyu taking time to get married, and Linda can easily reach LV 30 on just arena fights thanks to Paragon. Amid is also good in arena thanks to Wind Magic and Adept.

feels good to finally use these guys, even if a lot of them suck. Even with Ares/Leif/Seliph as a murder trio, the lack of Forseti and other competent fighters makes the second gen much trickier.
