What's the first evade set available in MH4U?

Also, what's the most cowboy looking armor? I want to go bugstick or jumplance and rodeo the shit out of monsters.

I posted this in the previous thread, but would like to get some more opinions on this:
I have just started playing Monster Hunter recently, and I got 3U and 4U for my 3DS.
So far I've spent about 50H in 3U, and have now entered High Rank. Now I am really unsure about how I should go on with these games. Should I switch to 4U already? I heard a lot of people say that 4U is better than 3U, but honestly I feel like I would get annoyed by having to start this entire thing all over again. What would you guys do? Is it as shitty of an idea as I think to play both games simultaneously?
I really don't know how I should go on about this

anybody mind giving some input on what makes them play 4U over 3U?

A hammer with 210 raw has a final damage of 220.5 with green sharpness and 277.2 with white sharpness. If you throw blunt into the mix, that 220.5 green becomes 298.5, which is far above a natural white hammer with AuL.

To compound this, hammers like the bone hammer and Ukanlos hammer get ridiculous raw due to being only green sharpness (240/250 versus the 200 of white sharpness hammers).

He's reading it wrong I think. Looking at the video Gaijin posted, he's saying how white sharpness weapons are always around 180-200 raw, while green sharpness weapons go up to 280. If you factor blunt in, the green weapon will always outdamage the white weapon (even with AuL) by a large margin. Not to mention blunt is a really easy to get 10 point skill, while AuL needs 20 points.

Its usually not too much HP. When you can have 4 hunters all with hunter arts and one mounting regularly, everything dies pretty fast.

However there are quests (like the one required to unlock R type armor) that require you kill 3 hp buffed (ferocious) Tetsucabras.

I'm not even going to give that a reasonable try alone, screw that.

I originally did mostly LS, and only switched because when I tried the online play with my friend(DB main) it was a pain to hit my level-up attacks without tripping them. I figured HH was the weaker 'support' class, but it would work well for hunting in a group since it applies to everyone. But my best times are all with HH.

I'm normally pretty good solo, when I play in a group I have trouble predicting monsters' movements and tend to take more risks, ten times is by far the most I've ever failed a quest. Never been stuck on a boss in any other game for that long either. I need to solo Monster Hunter! still, when I did it it was with a friend of mine and Blanche and it felt way too easy.

For me Blos was the sticking point. I'd gotten to jho a couple of times but with no megas left, low health and wystones on cooldown and died immediately.

I never use it so I forgot the gate switch even existed, I don't know how much of it is down to this but once I realised I could use that instead of smoke bombs I got it on my very next try. I changed up my strategy in several other ways too though. Another major thing was bringing farcasters.

I think whatever you find toughest depends on the weapon used, with GS I found that you gotta get Steve down fast before he can start moving around like a spastic. Apex Diablos in general is a game of chicken and have to pick away at his legs given the really anal amount of no bounce hitzones, some weapons are definitely going to find it harder there.

I was originally going for steve first anyway but blos kept blundering over while I was killing him and the only thing worse than apex blos is apex blos while you're focusing on another monster.

Bouncing was a huge problem with blos because I was trying to not use up my wystones before jho, but that was kind of pointless since I was just trying to finish and not get a great time. Definitely a place farcasters came in handy.

That's kind of BS or at least depends on your weapon honestly. Playing multiplayer has its own challenges (especially when it comes to predicting monster patterns, since monsters behave erratically when switching aggro) and once you get to the point where any challenge can't technically be overcome by bringing more healing supplies and farcasters, ie when you're being oneshot or close to it by every attack, having multiple players who aren't all super competent is going to be more of a hindrance than a help.

Can someone tell me how they nerfed Charge Blade in MHX? I'm using it right now and I've realised they got rid of the charge A attack, but I'm not sure what else they nerfed. Any ideas? Did they decrease damage or something? Remove shortcuts?

HH has a very simple moveset with each attack input having two moves depending on whether you're moving the analog or not, and that you can chain any but the same move together continuously.

If you want to play a certain song you just use the attacks that have your notes and play music during openings, and encore if you still have time or just try to play it again.

Bowguns are definitely a whole different beast for Blademasters.

HH has the simplest and most intuitive moveset but its actual application is more complex than most weapons since each attack has its own eccentric hitbox, with one attack even swinging directly behind you. Definitely one of the more interesting weapons imo.

SA is really raw oriented. Ceadeed Axe, which is part water and has a ton of raw for a power phial, pretty much outdoes a lot of other options. It outperforms the two elemental phial water weapons on Gravios.

It takes a really severe elemental weakness for something like Stygian Vanagloria or Rathscension to beat it. Since the Steve one can auto-sharpen though and hopefully stay on purple better, I'm just wondering if that might also outdo some swaxes on some monsters overall. I take it that it's more of a solo option like with GS and Rogue Sedition?

Baraq is very slightly weaker than Ceadeed in terms of raw (the latter also having noteworthy water element), but it fares pretty well if you get razor sharp/steady hand with it since you don't need sharpness+1 (the primary benefit) and you're rolling around all the time anyway.

In multiplayer you tend to get larger openings to unload making baraq seem worse, but the monster also moves around more so it kind of evens out since SA rolls to move around most of the time. Without razor sharp baraq is really hurting though.

The thing to remember is that if you're choosing between baraq with razor sharp and ceadeed with s+1 they have roughly the same sharpness profile, except ceadeed has water and 5% more affinity while baraq has autosharpen.

Seriusly, it's fucking impossible. I can't find ANY large kelbi, both in low rank and high rank quests or expeditions, it's ridiculous.

I've spent more than an hour for nothing. Not a single miserable blue horn.
Do anyone of you have a clue to how to get blue Kelbi horns? And please, don't tell me to use normal horns to that two stars quest. I've spent almost all my horns for that, without result... the probabilities of getting a single blue horn must be minimal.

This is how they have it set up.

Tremor res isn't a graven skill, so the gems in the waist and leg have to be tectonic. It's an understandable set given that they just happen to have +10 WR on their solid handicraft talisman. The only questionable parts are the choice to gem in tremor res (ice weapon suggests rajang hunt though) and decision to use selene helm x over mizuha mask. The helm can be explained by not wanting to use weapon slots, selene being easier to get at the time, or just a poor taste in fashion.

So I followed a guide to install MHO and made sure to not install any of the bullshit programs they try to get you to install.

But, when logging in to the launcher, it downloads "QQPCMgr" which does all sorts of crazy shit.

I think it has something to do with this line of text and button, but there is no check box to not install it. Pic related.

Stack damage as much as you can since HH is behind the power curve even with attack up melodies active. Maestro is a great, cheap convenience skill even though some people will try to talk you out of it. You're about to enter g-rank, so I wouldn't farm a set specifically for a new weapon yet. Just modify one of your existing sets or whatever. Seregios HH is really good, but you're blocked from the final upgrade until g-special. The second to last upgrade is still competitive with the final master bagpipe upgrade though so I would just say keep using seregios HH.

If you wanna have fun the weapon guide in the pastebin has the better elemental options for each element. Bow benefits from elemental match ups and it's fun having an arsenal of bows.

If you want an easy option, just go Shayla Bow (HR Seregios) with load up. It's so freaking powerful it will outdo many of the individual bows and has C.Range coating boost (gives 1.5x damage like the Power coat). But having the same bow all the time is boring and brainless.

Kama is the overall best if you consider it's power and versatility. But there are elemental options that deal about the same of not higher damage, it's only a question of whether or not you're willing to go through the trouble.

It's already hard enough to compete with kama due to its high raw, crit, rapid 5, power shot, and power coatings. Elementals may bring in a bit more damage but often loses at least one or two things kama offers. The last thing kama brings to the table that no other does is close coatings also increasing its damage, marking its position as single best raw damage bow.

There are fewer options when taking an elemental bow is the better choice, which are gravios subspecies and chammy, so not that many bows you need to own. There are a couple others too but honestly, using a different weapon is probably much better than an elemental bow.
