As for middleman services, I've never used it for P-Bandai before but some of the more popular ones like Nippon-Yasan, From Japan, and Rider Proxy should help you out with that. I think in this case if it's not listed on their site then you can make a request for it or something. You should be able to just provide a link and they'll do the math and everything. That's just my guess though, since I've never used them to order something like this.

Yeah its me, that guide you posted seems a bit better than other Ive seen but it doesnt seem to specify some things like you CAN evolve more than once in the same round, you can go from rookie to mega if you have the right cards, and because duplicates are allowed your chances of having the right cards are way higher than in digibattle. Doesnt talk about the support box either.

My guide was already visited almost 150 times, thats way more than I expected, I dont feel right asking it to be added to the OP, I think it would be great but thats up to the rest of the general to decide if they think is worth it, thanks for the support.

Hmm, according to WtW Meicoomon in Next Order is indeed the same one as Tri's and the Meicrackmon DLC actually has some spoilers about tri.

After a knack for digimon made me complete Adventure on the PSP (even though the last arc was gibberish for me due to the lack of translation) my hunger for digimon vidya still isn't sated, but I'm pretty sure I've played everything there is, bar CS because I don't have a PS4/Vita.

How's the fangames department in this franchise? A good deal of the latest Digimon games have a very classic RPG-ish feel to them (more so than pokemon, which has a ton of fangames) and the sprites for the DS games are pretty accessible, I imagine someone out there must have tried making something out of them.

Yeah it seems like every guide has something the other guide doesn't but is also missing some key info. I'm honestly surprised at the lack of real solid English info on the card game, but I suppose it makes sense considering what I know about the western Digimon TCG scene.

You made a really good guide though and I definitely think it deserves to be added to the OP. It would encourage more discussion of the TCG and we definitely need more discussion here. As long as other people agree, we should add it next thread.

I'll have to take a look at the partially translated info to get a feel for how much work I have ahead of me. My Japanese isn't amazing by any means though, and I'm sort of using this as a way to brush up and improve. I plan on buying a little Japanese-English dictionary to help me actually.

I was also considering setting up a neocities site to catalogue everything properly, with the added bonus of it being in a nostalgic format. I'd probably end up doing my own scans in that case so I'm not just ripping them off other sites and reposting them. I'll definitely have to buy more Japanese cards if that's the case.

On one final note, I checked the comic store and unfortunately they only had overpriced 2 player packs and the anime cards. I'm determined to find some booster packs in the wild though, so I'm not giving up on that.

What type of games do you like anon? What are some of your other favourites? Also, did you give Tamers a try? The Digimon anime isn't for everyone that's for sure. I'd recommend just skipping the anime entirely if you're looking for something different. Even though the various anime series have more or less become the default Digimon narrative, they're still pretty different from what Digimon is all about. Try some of the World games. They're not as robust story-wise but they can be pretty challenging and engrossing.

If you're willing to give at least one of the anime series a try, at least let it be Tamers. It's still prone to a lot of shounen stuff and it's not perfect but as far as Digimon series go it's the least kiddy.

It's still a kind of shitty investment. I don't know the exact chances of finding a chaser card but I'm going to say they're pretty low. You'd have to get at least 2 of those chasers to even make back your money, and as soon as you open a pack (assuming it doesn't have one of the rare cards) it becomes near worthless. Sure you could get lucky and maybe make back $20-50 per pack but that's pathetic. If I knew the actual statistics I'd love to do the math for it but from a rough estimate the odds are unbelievably stacked against you.

I mean if you have that much money to throw around in the first place then why drop it on something as weirdly specific as Digimon trading cards? If by some amazing chance you got a $300 card in each pack you're only making like $2000 profit. That's pretty decent but it still begs the question, why this?

Bandai expected the game to be huge like the pokemon tcg so they produced a lot of starter packs, thats why they are so cheap to buy these days only $10 a piece, since it was a failure tons went unsold
As the boosters were released they were printed in less and less and less quantities
Booster 6 is the final one and they announced previously that it would be so they likely printed the bare minimum.
I actually think these cards should be way more expensive based on their rarity and if they arent is because not that many people care about them.

The rules they gave were a fucking mess and no one knew how to play the damn game, they also changed the game from the japanese version in unnecessary ways so that if the game had continued there would have been huge problems in trying to adapt the newer japanese mechanics, hell there are already some problems in only 6 boosters.

The biggest reason was also that kids were already expending all their money on pokemon cards and the market was too saturated, it was marketed but barely, you can tell by the way the english game was adapted that no one involved in the project really gave a single fuck, I heard bandai outsourced the adaptaion

But anyways, some tips.

Don't use a 3-different-type team.
Use 3 of the same, and have Character Reversal at your disposal. Worst case scenario, you deal and take neutral damage from everything.

Or, 2x one attribute, and the last is the attribute that beats it. Like 2x Data and 1x Virus.
That means you'll be dealing less damage to Vaccine and Viruses compared to a 3x Data team, but against a Data you'll do slightly more.

Also, get buffs, they're very important.
Never let them go down, re-cast them before the 5-turn limit expires, to both increase the buff and renew its duration.
Debuffs as well, up to a certain point, eventually everything's immune to that.

Piercing attacks trivialize the game, as always, although sligthly less.

Well I'm a connoisseur of chinese kids cartoons in general, but Digimon is definitely my favorite out of the ones I grew up with and definitely the one I've spent the most time on. (And I've actually spent A LOT of time on Pokemon and Yugioh).

It is funny how it happens though. I remember when that Danball Senki game got localized people started calling it a Pokemon ripoff, despite it having literally nothing in common with Pokemon. It's a game about customizing and battle tiny robots.

Also, if you haven't, you should definitely at least read the Yugioh manga.

If you're playing on an emulator, flashcard with cheat support or haven an action replay, you can just use the 999% scan data, grab the exclusives, then change the 03E7 on the code to 0000 so it removes everything.

Here's a Sunflowmon pattern test that I need to completely remake because patterns made for fleece don't work in minky I made a while ago.

Fortunately I have an embroidery machine so the 惡 on its arm won't be awful to make. No clue what I'm gonna do about the buckles though.

I've thought about making a Numemon with realistic teeth, but that might actually be too awful even for me.
