So im at the end, and i followed the neutral alignment guide, sadly i must have fucked up somewhere because i ended with the lawful ending. (mustve been a challenge quest)

If i pick "preserve the order" as per the guide i get the law ending jnstead of the neutral i want, but if i pick "destroy the order" i get the chaos ending.

So am i totally fucked? Or is there a way i can fix this? Like is there a chellenge quest i can do to skew things for neutral? Im guessing my alignment is -6 right now. Is there a quest i can do to help me here?

Alignments themselves are not tired, but what is getting old is framing them as changing the entire world. A game with alignments that apply to a much smaller scale and are more personal like Raidou 2 would feel fresh.

For Merc and Lucy you need to be on your second playthrough regardless of the route (which is a little bit retarded in my opinion, if you need to have played through it, at least make it their respective routes so that there's at least one good reason to choose them). While I feel that gameplay in a JRPG is largely a secondary element, and that first person dungeons aren't even as important a gameplay element for SMT as battle system, demon negotiations, or making sure the dungeons are a challenge whatever perspective you take in them, I've also argued that even secondary elements can be important to the overall experience. It's not because of me that you're not getting Strange Journey 2: With Press Turn This Time. Persona 3 portable was the only one I've finished. I'm currently in the middle of:
SMT1, SMT2, SMT3, P3 the answer, Strange journey and DDS.
But DDS had a sudden difficulty spike, because I have no idea what mantras I should get or how the game works or why hunt skills are so shitty. I'm not planning on finishing that one.

If these "archaic" or "irrelevant" styles of games have interesting game in them I'll play them.
Also I don't think you can have interesting gameplay of this style if you stray too far from the formula.
If you introduce timing elements which make most people not even try to learn the game and they resort to grinding (Most Final Fantasy games).
If you minimize the amount of gameplay then you have a visual novel, not a game.
