The nailgun isn't bad, but it's bad because it's a zerk weapon and zerk is a melee perk, little to none of the perks in this new rework even benefit the nailgun/evis.
If they want them to be more useful they should cut the price and weight of the evis in half and be made a tier 3 or buff it so it actually resembled a tier 4.
nailgun should've been a fireaxe and the nailgun given to supports as an extra tier 2.

Not sure sure if this has been posted yet, but small PSA about sharpshooter's Rack 'em Up: You seem to only gain 15% damage per stack, capping at 4 stack with a 60% damage boost. It is not affected by the 9mm. Gunslinger's Rhythm Method (formerly Rack 'em Up) seems to be unchanged form what it was originally: 10% per stack capping at 70% at 7 stacks.

It's actually a pretty good update, Sharpshooter is fun, the new maps aren't total shit, a lot of bugs got fixed, yeah it's actually a pretty good update UNTIL we get to Resistances.
My God. Then it's awful, it's a total disaster.

I managed to beat Hostile Grounds, the new map, on HOE today.
Let me tell you this, in 500 hours, it was the most savagely difficult HOE Victory I've ever earned.
Now I don't mean difficult as in "WEW lads, that was close, but with solid skill and a little bit of luck, we managed to persevere and overcome the threat."
I mean difficult as in "By Saint George, it is nothing short of a divine miracle that we managed to survive all that insane cheating bullshit and truly God himself must have been spectating the game to deliver us because how the fuck else did we survive that shit?"
I had an AA12 in that game. It took three rounds to kill a single crawler.
You think I'm playing? I'm not.
It took three rounds to kill a single stalker.

These Resists have fucked everything. It's total chaos out there and people are furious. This update has been ruined by this single shitty addition.

Hey guys, we've noticed the complaints about stalkers and crawlers for players, so we made this change everyone should enjoy

Stalker
Resistance to fire lowered to 1.2 was 0.3
Resistance to explosives lowered to 0.8 was 0.3
Resistance to shotguns raised to 0 was 0.25

Crawler
Resistance to handguns lowered to 0.8 was 0.75
Resistance to shotguns lowered to 0.7 was 0.35

Ok i've been doing some testing with the demos damage skills, specifically the direct hit ones because i wasn't doing to damage i thought i would ingame.

This was tested with an Rpg-7 shooting the head.
Turns out armour piercing rounds only affect impact damage, making it deal only around 100 more damage to a fleshpound and between 350-400 more to a scrake due to its rpg impact weakness.

High impact rounds is even weirder, i couldnt get it to affect damage meaningfully at all, even if it was only affecting impact damage it would have been incredibly pronounced on a scrake due to the weakness yet i saw practically no difference, around 16 damage.

Can someone else test the high impact aswell? This is getting really retarded tripwire.

It puts you so low that it becomes difficult to actually shoot any zeds behind the first row since headless ones stumble around for 80 fucking years in KF2.

It pretty situational on maps, like it shines well on Outpost because you've got a lot of space assuming trucks lets face it its just THE spot and the hills of snow on the back you can crouch on to basically level you better. There might be other spots but that was the best one I could point out where you could use it best.

Sadly, it can't be done.
Don't get me wrong, theoretically, I could within five minutes make the appropriate changes. I could edit the track length to make sure the song repeats without a silent gap. I could also change the track title so it says Abandon All in the little box or whatever.

However, in the infinite wisdom of whoever sets all this stuff up at Tripwire, if I did those things, you and anyone else using those tracks would be locked out of online play. That's right, locked out.

Now, Tripwire did say a long time ago that one day they would address these issues and allow us to freely make the above changes when required. However, that was a LONG time ago and we've seen nothing yet.
For the time being, this is what we've got.

I am hopeful, after all, they did actually finally fix the Patty theme. But, as with the Patty theme,those fixes will probably not be for a while.

It's decent burst damage to save on M14 ammo (sirens/bloats), but it's otherwise hard to rely upon since it lacks realistic stun power. It can stun a Scrake in one headshot with the skill, but I'm not sufficiently leveled to see where it can go from there. It's probably more sufficient to put 2 bolts in after stunning with the M14.

As for FP, the M14 does a better job again. With the stun skill it still takes 2 bolts to stun the FP, where the first of which is always going to rage it. With the stun skill, M14 can push FP into stun just as he turns red (or you can just tank a hit without the skill). Depending on damage boosts you may be able to follow up with 2 bolts, again to save ammo.

Overall, much better to get M14 before considering it.

According to TWI this game is done enough for a PS4 release published by Deep Silver after this update is complete.

I've tried engaging them a few times on hoe now and I can't seem to circle them, or keep them at bay with loaded pulv hits.
Now all I do is sit back and let the other perks handle them, since I can't even be a reliable shield with 100hp and parry blocking no damage.

Honestly, I said for a long time that I was willing to settle for just SS.

Lucky me, I actually got it. Not only did I get it, but I got a pretty good SS too, for me anyway.

What happens from here on out to everybody else don't matter to me none. I sure do hope TW turn all this around somehow, but right now?
I'm just grabbing hold of SS tight and trying as hard as I can to hang on to it while this storm rages above me. It's the last thing I truly love about the game in its current state.

So how is demo now? I've seen a single demo claim that the demolitions perk is much better now. He spammed the m79 on everything he saw and never seemed to run out of ammo. As per the meta he instantly raged every scrake he saw but it worked out since it was on hard and he was level 21. I cannot tell if it's any better or if it's just because it was on hard that it seemed okay if a little braindead. I can't test for myself due to only being level 13 in demolitions so I don't have all the perks to get a real feel for it.

Nuke is now worthless because everything resists poison.
RPG splash range was reduced to 1/4th.
RPGs can only kill Scrakes from direct impacts and Fleshpounds, everything else resists explosives so much it's not even worth using.
If they intended for Demo to stand on its own legs then they failed horribly. Not only did the Crossbow make Demo redundant a week ago, now SS as a whole makes Demo redundant because it can kill big zeds AND trash and stun without any problems whatsoever.

RPG lost a lot of its explosive radius, so most enemies can survive the radius.

Keep in mind that its not even as bad as what they did to the Berserker.
With the new resistances, melee weapons suck at killing literally everything except stalkers. You know, one of the two types of enemies you definitively want to avoid fighting as a zerk.

Hope you didn't like using your knife during the first two waves to save up dosh either, cause that shit's fucking worthless now too. Glad all those man hours spent modeling those for every single perk were worth it.

It's way too complicated to remember every single combination of stun type and damage/resistance type for every character and variant plus it just doesn't make sense and it feels incredibly unsatisfying to be surrounded by an enemy type that you're weak to. Honestly it might be okay if they slowed zed movement speed to 1/3rd of what it currently is so the team could properly coordinate killing what they're strong at, but as it stands now you're constantly bum-rushed and surrounded by shit you can barely kill.

The thing is they did it to shit where one weapon type is good against an enemy, and the rest are pure bad, like there's very rarely a neutral.
Stalkers being weak to AR's makes sense, mandos keep an eye out for them but they resist so much else like handguns, shotties, fire, rifles, etc that its almost essential to have them instead of just being a bonus to clear them easier unless you want to dump a lot of shots.

Half the problem with trash imo is the speed, you can prioritise any targets because everything is right up on your shit within seconds.

I'd really REALLY like some sort of "classic mode" where you don't have sprint and zeds move at a uniform speed for each one (unless they're raging). Sprinting means that zeds also have to be able to keep up with a sprinting player which makes them retard fast if you're just standing still or walking.
