A major factor is probably what position your representative idol falls in. Also, please set up your idol teams in the event screen to properly represent their type attribute. This is just common courtesy to your team mates so that team synergy doesn't get fucked up.

If he picked an idol unsuited for the role or isn't skilled up for that role, it reduces his point gain so even a FC won't guarantee a win, so if the others playing DID skill up their idols, even failing to FC could still bring them higher. From my observation, ranking seems to go as follows:

-SSR tiered characters will always be prioritized on the ranks, then SRs, Rs, etc.

-If you are the only SSR in the group, you will always rank 1st no matter how shitty you are, as long as you don't disconnect / fail.

-In the tiers, the person with the highest score will be placed higher.

Example:

High Scores:
R Uzuki scores 750,000
SR Karen scores 650,000
SSR Ranko scores 500,000
SR Shiki scores 400,000
SSR Kirari scores 350,000

The SSRs would take priority in ranking, so it would be:

1) SSR Ranko at 500,000
2) SSR Kirari at 350,000

Next would be:

3) SR Karen at 650,000
4) SR Shiki at 400,000

And finally, even though the player did a FC:

5) Uzuki at 750,000

This is just what I've experienced, FC'ing using an SR chara in several teams of SSRs. Unless they disconnected or lost, I'd always end up 5th.

I'd like if someone else can confirm/deny.

The trick to getting a high rank is finding the best card to augment the position you selected and being augmented by a good center skill by chance of luck.

So to sum up this event it's: Team Composition + RNG: The Event.

How well you do in rankings is mostly dependent on the randomized Idol.

Yellow - Perfomer - Visual Stat Boost (+270%)
Purple - Vocalist - Vocal Stat Boost (+270%)
Red - Center - All Stat Boost (+130%)
Blue - Dancer - Dance Stat Boost (+270%)
Green - Leader - Life Stat Boost (+60 to 190%)

Also included in the boosts are
Room Items (+0% to 10%)
Center Skill (+30%, 60% or 90%)
Song Type Bonus (+30%)

Alongside the aforementioned position bonuses, these all stack up each other. So when team building, for each Cu/Co/Pa type team, put in the best Idol you have for that particular stat in the corresponding position.

When entering the lives, your representative idol will be randomly selected from 4 teams you made in accordance with the song type.

There are two event reward types: Individual Rewards and Team Rewards.

Individual Rewards have better rewards and drop rates depending on your overall contribution (which in tun is dependent on how well your idol suits the team. Refer to the teambuilding section mentioned earlier to make the most of this)

Team Rewards on how well your team performed as a whole. So even if you have a good Idol representative and performed well in the song, if everybody else sucked, don't expect a good Team reward.
