How to watch stuff on vita:
1) put videos in video folder set up in CMA.
h264 aac up to full hd are supported. Subtitles have to be burned in most of the time.
2)open video app on vita, navigate to pc
3)stream any video from pc to vita, instead of copying it.

PC and vita have to be on the same network for this to work.

hey vitagen, so i got atelier ayesha a while back on sale and i'm wondering if this was a bad jumping in point? it's not really doing much to pull me into the actual gameplay so far and it feels like i should already be familiar with some of the shit it's throwing at me.

Yup. A friend of mine had to contact KT because his codes weren't working. Turns out his codes were for the Vita version. He had to give up those codes to get the PS4 ones.

The worst part in all of this is that Sophie is fucking enjoyable. However, with KT fucking up the localization (e.g. untranslated shit, lines that weren't voiced in the English dub even though most if not all lines in Japanese were voiced, plus this shit with the themes, it's just depressing all around.

I own a mid tier pc, my 760 runs all my favourite vns. That is all I can say. I only play vns on my vita as well. Even when I buy a game it's typically one with vn parts, I play 99% of vns and games in Japanese so for the most part I own them for a year or two before they hit pc. Most of my vita vns never get translated, much less ported to pc. Nisekoi vn is 9.5/10, better than DR or S;G.

Not sure if this is your first time playing a Trails game, but the reason why it's slow for 80% of the game is because of world-building. You basically have to immerse yourself in that world, and while most games do that by doing some crazy shit, Falcom doesn't rush you at all.

I'm guessing that the progression between CS1 to CS2 will be similar to TiTS FC and SC, in that the sequel is where most shit happens (i.e. more exciting than the one before it).

If you loved Sky but got turned off by Cold Steel, it's understandable. For example, Sky introduced major characters sequentially while giving time for Estelle and Joshua to develop, but Cold Steel at times felt more like "hi these are your dysfunctional classmates while you're still dealing with your own issues, have fun".

Yeah, Falcom tends to use tropes a lot when it comes to characters. The idea is that they're supposed to develop throughout the story. FC and SC were originally one game, but they decided to split it because it was became too long, so most of the world-building was in the FC, and most of the exciting stuff happens in SC. This meant that the first game will be perceived by many as a slog (which it was, considering that many people didn't even get halfway through the story, judging by Steam achivements).

Anyway, I'm sorry you didn't enjoy it. Like I said, the games are not for everyone. I mean, I loved TiTS FC and SC, and yet I hated Cold Steel and don't see myself buying Cold Steel 2.

Yeah I think you basically summed up one of my biggest issues with CS. There was just not enough time for the other characters to develop. I know that Rean is the main character, and that Alisa is supposed to be his partner, but as you've said, they basically threw 7 other characters at us to care about. In spite of the spotlight being on them, Rean was still boring when I got to Chapter 5, Alisa was a bad tsundere, and the rest were just one-sided or too boring to care about.

Fair enough. For the most part, though, the characters definitely weren't why I was drawn to Cold Steel; I guess it was more of the international political situation that interested me, like how western Zemuria was faring two years after Sky SC. The references to the Liberl arc also kept me going; definitely enjoyed Cassius Bright being name-dropped by a few people in CS's Chapter 5.

On a slightly unrelated note, Towa and Olivert weren't the only people to nearly die when the ILF attacked Garrelia Fortress; Kloe and maybe even the Crossbell SSS would've been killed too.

Do you still have access to all trophies in classic mode of Odin Sphere? I heard the new mode was too easy and I'm not sure of what all the differences are.

I think I should chime in. The 品質 tells you that each panel covered adds +1 to an item's quality. It doesn't matter the color, you just need to have it covered. While the 効果値 adds +3/5/7 to the item's effect gauge. Matching color will give more bonus to the item's effect, though I forgot how much exactly. For example, putting red item on largest white star will give +7 to all red effect, but putting a white item on it instead will give more to all white effect.

I'm sure vitagen plays Atelier Sophie so here's a question (though it's about the PS4 version, so I'm retarded)

Does the vita have the problem with the sides of the screen getting cut off? On the PS4, the selection arrow on the menu screen can't be seen (not a big deal), and the part of the clock that displays the day of the week symbol is barely visible (annoying). And other small annoyances.

There's a change app display area in the general settings menu, but it doesn't seem to do anything for this game.
