Yes. There is also commander skill and ship stats, though. But superior numbers are most important.

But getting superior numbers is kind of tricky because you never know where the navy is. If you group up all your ships you can patrol limited amount of water, but if you spread them out they can be attacked by superior numbers.

Chokepoints should work extremely well, though. I still want to try my Italian game where I seal off the Mediterranean by cutting off Suez and Gibraltar and placing doomstacks there to prevent Allied navies from entering the Mare Nostrum.

You can cheese the game to attack weak enemies all the time conquering your opposition without much struggle, but it's possible and it happened to me that I was faced with 3 really strong enemies fighting me at the same time. I was stretched to my limit, battle plans did fucking nothing except automate a little bit of the tedious moving about because the enemy was so overwhelming I had to pick and choose my battles careful to save my divisions from getting surrounded.

The AI puts huge emphasis on planes, but it's not so bad if you have the concentration you need. Using a single tiny 250 fighter wing in a zone isn't the way to go. If anything you should use a lot of wings or really big wings in a zone.

I hit a wall in the Warcraft mod.

Trying to figure out how to make it so that characters will more rarely marry outside of their culture ( And not outright prevent it ) and its actually kind of difficult!

At first I considered removing the AI's ability to marry-sadly there is no way to do this without removing it for the player as well. I could potentially gut the "Send Gift" option and reskin it as a marriage option but that would prevent the player from being able to use the Marriage GUI to easilly marry characters.

I could try to break apart marriages of the wrong culture after they are made, this has the issue of having a lot of script lag-for example, pic related is the script Elder Kings uses after marriage to determine interracial fertility. A 700 line script firing after every marriage doesn't seem like a good solution to me.

If you have trouble this is what I used in HoI 3

Make a battle line of basic units just strong enough to hold the line and assing that to AI control. This is especially easy in this game, just give an army enough guys to hold the line and then just put them on front line duty.

Then keep the elite units under your direct control and micro them to do encirclement and push key strategic points and such. That way the AI handles the standing around and defending while you are in control of the offense.


You can also use the AI to set up the initial positioning of the units and then just disable it once they are in position. Though obviously that requires a ton more micro to pull of.

Bickering over trade rights is common between the kingdoms.

Wičhíyena people that settled the other continent - mostly hunter gatherers though some southern tribes have tried their hands at agriculture.
