This game would be so much more enjoyable if I could play just control points or payload and not play koth.

If they just allowed you to select your game mode, I would not rage nearly as much.

That said, there is a lot more they need to add to this game before I'll feel like its worth the money paid. But I have faith that this game will grow in content and all the free updates and dlc and heroes will help that.

probably the worst counter to widowmaker, but i have some Pharah tips against Widowmaker:

always know where the Widowmaker is. always. she will fuck you up. she is your weakness.

to best deal with Widowmaker as Pharah, you have to catch her off-guard with/without a jump jet, and if you don't kill her within 2 rockets, Concussive Blast her and then try again later

if you can't catch her off guard because she is zoning out a whole area, just play patient and position yourself where widowmaker can't pick you off, while at the same time being in a position where you are hurting other player enemies. that or switch hero

Problems with this game:
-Focus on counterpicking. Blizzard balances a hero like Tracer by throwing in a character like McCree to counter them. It's okay if a character will certainly kill, or at least survive an encounter with, 80% of the other characters, as long as one character can nullify them.
-Limited individual contribution. You cannot stomp pubs in this game, with any characters other than a very small handful. There are enemy characters like Tanks with a ton of health to slow you down, and other characters who can burn an ability to completely shut down your momentum or kill you. If you do too well somebody will counter you and force you to switch characters. Generally, if your team is doing well, you will do well, and if they do poorly you will also do poorly.
-Limited depth- very few characters have very high skill ceilings. There are a lot of characters to play around with, but a ton of them you can master in about ninety minutes, as long as you already have map familiarity.
-Wildly frustrating to play alone- this game has a huge focus on team composition and coordination. You have to make people pick a balanced team and also group up and work together if you want to win. This is difficult to do because of the almost complete absence of communication. If you monologue on mic about how a support is necessary you will be considered annoying and likely ignored.
