Why do people keep saying Xrd is hard/complicated? Xrd was my first anime game (came from SF) and it was pretty easy to get into. I first used Faust on pad because ps4 sticks weren't out yet. Then when I got a stick about a week later for Christmas thanks mom I switched to Venom and did fine after losing a bunch. Everyone says Venom is one of the hardest characters to play and if he really is then this game is ezpz

5s 2h xx needle/swipe is great to check people from moving and you can rc/yrc to close distance fairly easy.

air dash is obviously good but easily baitable, so you can counter their aa attempts with air dash into early swipe to punish their punish attempt

the teleport part of his dash actually works like slayers and goes through things as invincible. i wouldn't use it as my main means off approach 100% of the time, but it's an options, and he's fast when he's running

but between threat of air dash/5s/tk needle/orbs/good aa's, you probably shouldn't be feeling the need to approach so much.

Ehhhhh I wouldn't say "tech chasing" is that big of a deal in KoF. Pretty much if you get knocked down you're getting pressured. You only get two options which are do nothing or tech backwards and tons of characters can cover both options. If you're interested in that aspect of the game you'd probably want to look into Marvel or SFV where those options actually exist.

As for uppercuts, maybe so, but at least in mkx there are sooooooo many things I have to respect coming from most of the cast I feel exhausted because I have to step on eggshells when I play. 50/50 vortexs everywhere, ex wakeup combo starters for 30%, awesome armor options, fantastic zoning as far as the eye can see that with all the low profiles I can muster still succeed, running has stamina, combo breakers for days, unlockables are a common, high low mixups. Its a lot to worry about man.... I want a simpler meta game that can still be aggressive and reactive.

It lacks a certain polish, some of the menus look straight up like place holders. I think what has really hurt SFV is the post launch though, Capcom just haven't done anything particularly well and now they have the biggest fuck up of delaying dlc.

SF should be pushing shit forward, I feel like any of us can think of so many features they should have. Why doesn't it have an expansive tutorial? Why doesn't it have frame data for training mode? Why doesn't the game track events that are happening? Why not Have twitch integration? Why do the lobbies feel like ten steps back? They really just needed to get one of these aspects done well.
